New rad is coming in this Friday. I really should've asked the seller to ship it express.
Anyway, I dried off the rad and pressurized it until there was no more liquid coming out. I degreased all the holes with WD-40, sanded down with 100 then 200 grit sandpaper, then used SteelStik to close up the holes. After letting it cure for an hour, I used the pressure tester and let it sit pressurized for 10 minutes and no loss of pressure. I ran the bike up to 220 F, rad fan kicked in, and it cooled down properly. I took a 20 mile test drive on the freeway and streets and the temps were all normal. No anomalies. I think the fix will easily last me until I get the new rad in.
