That would have been one of the announcements at the dealer meetings today, I guess.

At least it means the Super Tenere is definitely coming back next year ;D

We had heard that this would be the price of additional 2012 units in stock that dealers could order . Guess we'll find out for sure when our dealership owner gets back from the meetings tomorrow.

Just noticed Yamaha is showing the price of the Tennere to be $14,500,inflation?
Makes sense, They are now taking on more risk and you pay a bit more.

The PDP price was a lesser risk proposition that informed people took advantage on.

Anyway it's not expensive at all., for everyone else in the entire Universe.

Cheers

I am just really happy that it looks like it will be off of PDP and a regular item. Way to go Yamaha! ::022::

That is just kewl! wide-spread acceptance bodes well for survival of the species. This is the darndest bike I've ever owned...and I mean that in a good way.

I doubt this change in price, in and off itself, indicates "off PDP". We'll probably know by EOD.

I agree. Having this bike available "on the floor" and for immediate order/delivery is the best thing that can happen. There are folks out there that will not order site unseen. Besides, everybody likes immediate gratification. Sometime next Spring I hope to either watch the Tiger ride away with a new owner on top, or ride in to the dealer on it and out on a Tenere. Less to worry about when you're not waiting months for the order to arrive.

It is no longer on the PDP. I had a whopping 2 bikes allocated to me one in September and one in March! From what I understand, we sold more S10's than any other dealer. I am guessing that they have allocated the bikes that were either cancelled or the remaining units that YMUS had to commit to purchase from Yamaha Motor Japan from the original release. I have not spoken with any other dealers to see what they were allocated, but I imagine there are a lot of dealers that were not allocated any at all. Pretty dissapointing............ :(
