It's been a whirlwind week for me. In "scouting" routes for the Pig Trail Wallow there was some substantial damage to my headers and bash plate. I discussed getting some Arrow headers given the price point of the OEM ones with an aluminum Arrow can.
Jaxon recommended the Power Package with the BMG air filter, Powercommander V and Autotune. The pickup across the rev range is awesome! The sound of the Arrow cans! Priceless. It was a great upgrade and Jaxon did impeccable work.
He also noticed that I had overfilled my oil on the last change and changed out my K60 rear ( with 10K Miles on it), tuned up my suspension some. It was great overall service and the bike runs great! ::018::

Hey protondecay123 .... just watched your YouTube posts "Pig Trail Wallow approach to White Rock" and "Blue Loop at Mill Creek" looks like a real blast!!

I "may" be riding my bike to see a friend in Branson soon and just might have to drop on down into Arkansas and check out some of the roads and scenery .... I'll bet they are great in the fall!

Anyway - Thnx for sharing ::008::

Re: Power Package @RideonADV

Unfortunately I dropped my bike off at Jaxon's shop in Fort Worth and left it there a couple of days while I visited some family in the Houston Area. I'll get some photos off tomorrow.

Thinking about doing a Fall Colors Tour around Halloween week. That's about peak around here. Let me know if you get in the area. If I can't ride with you, I'll at least send you some great waypoints.

I'm glad you enjoy the new performance. Your stock headers sure where banged up. Keep me in the loop for the Halloween ride, looking to do a few hundred miles on those Arkansas back roads ! ::26::

I don't think you have to wait until fall as the heat and lack of rain has the leaves turning brown & falling off in many areas. I suspect by fall the leaves will be gone or a fire will have them.

Yeah, I was looking at the bluffs between Russellville and Clarksville and it looked like Fall already. Sad. :'(

Re: Power Package @RideonADV

While "scouting " for the Pig Trail Wallow, the Super 10 and I got into some bad spots. I did a bit of damage to the skid plate and unfortunately to my headers. The more you ride this bike off road, the more you see how capable it is and will wind up pushing it past the limits of it's protection. I learned the hard way.

Here's a photo of the header damage. ::010::

So I contacted Jaxon and he did a first class job as described above. Here's a few dim photos of the Arrow headers and aluminum can.

And below is a video of how they sound. I really love the sound!! ::012::

It sucks that you lost the headers, but the new setup sounds great. ::008::

It was the stock bash plate, but as I doubt that anything outside of Jaxon's or Rumbux would have made any difference. Interestingly I took two big hits on the front with no sump failure. It looks like other chickens are coming to roost on that with a sump failure on a Touratech bash plate and a HB (?). The stock one ( and really anything else not mounted to the frame ) is simply a gravel guard and I didn't think that I would push it past that. But in trying to find great places to ride, that changed. The problem I had was that I had done a water crossing that was about a foot deeper than the foot pegs and about 100 yards long with rocks at the bottom about a foot in diameter that bounced me around some, about 12 miles from where it started getting rough. After about three miles after it started getting rough I got to a spot an Abrams tank couldn't make it through. Well now it's a 15 mile turn around. I dropped the bike twice on the turn around, but not on the second creek crossing. On one of my drops I got bounced to the right by a 8 inch rock and plowed directly into a three foot rock at about 15 - 20 miles per hour. I figured I had busted the sump, but the rear bolt was intact. The headers were a different story.
After that I've been wanting to see some video of those sump failures with the OEM plate. I was doing at least 15 MPH and plowed directly into a three foot rock without a sump failure. I bet those guys were going much greater than that. My skid plate was bent so bad I had to get a hammer to get it off and re bend it to get it back on. Interestingly I hit a couple of rocks on the Blue Loop at Mill Creek doing 10 -15 MPH with no additional damage.
Jaxon did have to beat the skid plate off and bend it some to get it back on after replacing the headers. I posted some pictures a few months ago about the skid plate.

I wonder if someone could make a rear bracket for the oem skid plate that uses the frame instead of sump?

Man, you live in NW Arkansas! Did you get set up by your friends to ride that? There are some places in this state a Tenere does not belong! Sounds like part of that ride was War Loop road. I rode that last weekend but not on my Tenere! ::005::

Its really pointless... The stocker skid plate is to soft... It bends very easy..

Yeah, the db killer is in. They sound awesome. Reminds me of a 1971 Chevelle SS 454 with Glasspacks. I love the sound.

I would like to blame that on Zecatfish, but I got my self into that. I was looking at going to Limestone Valley and went up the Big Piney Creek Road. Z told me he sent some guys up that road a few weeks ago and he had not heard anything back from them. I figured they thought that he had sent them "Snipe Hunting" if you know what I mean. Or they are still trying to get out of there? ::010::
I'm originally from Central Arkansas and have been riding the Ozarks alot to learn the lay of the land.
I've been going to a couple of places in your neck of the woods off 164. The vistas over the River Valley are really neat. You ever want to run some gravel roads LMK.

Terry AKA Catfish is evil and right now I can't afford all the air filters it would take to run the dry roads down here. When thing get a little cooler and we get a little rain I can show you some..."stuff" to play on.
