+1 on the Fieldsheer Aqua Tour jacket. These are great. That's my serious rain jacket.
They've been around awhile. I've had mine for at least 10 years. Keep looking at a replacement but the fact is, there's nothing wrong with this jacket and it still fits!

My primary street gear; Aerostitch one piece, C3 Pro helmet. Boots range fro sidi road race, sidi MX to Aerostitch combats and Forma Adv. Gloves are primary deerskin and elk skin. Road race are Held brand. If its cold I add a heated liner. If hot (105f or less) and running around town I have motoport two piece or BMW brand vented. If temps really soar (over 110f) or on all day ride I switch back to the Aerostitch. Here in the desert you can't have air on skin and expect to make it to sundown.

My advice...by the best gear you possibly can. Yes, Aerostitch can easily run over $1000 but I'm on my 4th suit. I averaged about 200-250k miles from each previous suits....do the math its pretty cheap.

That's the problem, I have been riding Harley's for the last 20 years with jeans , t shirt and leather jacket. After reading about different suits and helmets , I am still in the dark about why to wear what and when . Looking for a good quite helmet with bluetooth installed for music , calls and gps . Because I live in Texas , it is hotter than hell and humid , so would like a suit to wear in these temps and must also be able to handle the cold. By starting this thread , it will allow others like myself to hear first hand what people think about their choices with pictures. Thanks to those that have posted so far. That's exactly what I am looking for.
I have a HJC SY MAX 3. It has a built in Chatter box Bluetooth and is pretty quiet in the wind here in Oklahoma. If you have lot's of money the Schuberth is tops and has a built in Scala for it.

The default outfit is a Darien jacket, Aerostich AD1 pants, Sidi On-Road boots, a Schuberth C3 helmet (and yes I didn't think to flip up the dark shield in this pic) and in this photo a pair of Aerostich elkskin gauntlet gloves.

I've got lots of different gloves - my favorite warm weather ones are Held Air Stream, which they discontinued. In rain I use Aerostich Triple-Digit rain covers.

In hot weather I've got a high-vis Tourmaster Sonora Air jacket that I like, but it means I have to bring along a rain jacket, which is a high-vis Frog Toggs jacket.

This summer I got an Aerostich Transit 2 suit. I like it very much but I don't have any photos of me wearing it yet.

Shoei Hornet helmet
Klime Latitude coat and pants
Sidi Strada Rain boots

The bike and all this gear was totaled out last September when a deer ruined my day. I am working to replace the gear and refarkeling the 2013 replacement Tenere before spring. I repurchased the Klime Latitude coat and pants but I may find a different helmet. I loved the Shoei Hornet looks and fit but I am too tall and the bill would sometimes catch cross winds or when I turned my head. I may replace the boots with Sidi Discovery Rain, Alpine scouts, or Gaerne G-Adventure boots.

Being in the PNWet, from October - May, 'stitch, two-piece classic with an assortment of liners / heated gear. Rest of the time... Motoport stretch kevlar / air mesh combo. Shoei MultiTec does helmet duties, Red Wing waterproof boots year-around and various gloves...

In cool weather and making trips I'm usually in my Aerostitch and Arai Profile, Tourmaster (summer) or BMW gortex (winter) boots.

Also have a 70's era blk. Bates leather jacket and a Cortech textile/mesh in blue. Gloves vary but my favorites are a winter pair of BMW gloves and a Victory brand summer gloves.

If you open the picture it shows better.

Klim Latitude jacket
Klim Traverse pants
Cruiserworks boots
AFX helmet

All are waterproof. Helmet is one of a handful that I have. This one vents really well and is comfortable. My other helmets are Arai helmets.
I love my gear! ::008::

I usually hold the camera so very few pictures of me in my gear. This is one of the few.

Arai XD3 - comfortable helmet. Does not catch the wind. Have stood riding at 70 MPH with no problem. Can't do that with an MX helmet. Have just recently replaced with Shoei Hornet DS...why: Always found the Shoei fit to be a good match to my head when trying in a store. They were on close out and I thought I'd give it a try. Would not hesitate to go back to the Arai if this test does not work out.

Klim Badlands Jacket - Worn from 23 degrees F to around 100 degrees F. Fits my heated vest nicely in the colder temps. Hot as hell over 95 degrees and moving slowly. But so is everything else. Never need to stop to put on rain jacket...priceless. Excellent venting. Expensive, but worth it.
Cons: As temps get colder the D30 armor gets more and more stiff. Full arm bends in cold temps reminds you the armor is there on your elbow. Not a big deal, but you do notice it.

Klim Badlands Pants - Worn from 23 degrees F to around 100 degrees F. Awesome ventalaion. Warm over 95 degrees and moving slowly. Never need to stop to put on rain pants...even more priceless. Expensive, but worth it.
Cons: Nothing

Sid Adventure GoreTex boots - Worn from 23 degrees F to around 100 degrees F. Use chemical heat packs stuck on socks when below 30 degrees, can ride for hours in comfort. Warm over 95 degrees, not terrible. Never considered anything else in hot weather. Never need to stop to put on stupid rain booties...awesome. Fine for walking around. Feel very well protected.
Cons: Treat often to keep from squeaking. Comfortable most of the time but do bother me in prolonged standing. I think my foot may be a bit wide for these when standing.

Gloves: Still searching for the right answer in all conditions.
