Ok I'll get you some TAT tracks. For White Rock are you thinking 215 along the Mullberry then north eithier dirt (Fly Gap?) or tarmac (Pig Trail) or the route that takes you past the Spoke Factory overlook? I'll have to check my maps but a loop that incorporates both might be fun.

I think eveything is 2 up-able but might require a bit of experiance, yes?

There is also some pretty nice stuff just outside (south) of Jasper on the east side of Hwy7.

Spoke Factory Overlook might be a little too much 2 up. We could probably do that on Friday though if everyone is one up. Thinking 215 to Cass then up Fanes Creek if the roads are still okay. I'm going to ride them early next week ( Mon, Tues to make sure) . Head back out by Mill Creek to 16 etc for a loop back to the Hub.

My son and I rode up 103 from Clarksville today, then 215 west to 23 and took several more great roads, had lunch at the Cliff House on Hwy 7, and ended up in Bentonville for the night. The colors are looking very good right now and some roads already have lots of leaves on them. I hope all still looks good for you guys in a couple weeks.

Fred Hope you are enjoying Bentonville. That's where I live. Here's a picture of Hawksbill Craig done yesterday. The woods should be peaking next weekend.

Beautiful pic, thanks. We left Bentonville this morning and took lots of beautiful twisties into MO and ended up in Branson for the night. We have been using my new Butler Motorcycle map when I lay out a route on Mapsource. The trees just north of you in MO appear to already have peaked, as they are not as colorful as in AR. Tomorrow our destination is Russellville where we will be staying with a S10 riding friend. I have a good route plotted featuring some of 125 and lots of 123 to get to Russellville the long way.

Watch out for the wet leaves. The temperature has really dropped here today. I'm sure you will enjoy Russellville. Hwy 7 south to Hot Springs is great fun. Hard to go wrong from There.

We rode that section of 7 south to north earlier in the week. We are winding up our tour today and tomorrow. Rode NE out of Russellville, mostly on 124. Got colder and windier as we rode. The last 100 miles were pretty windy and cold and the final 50 were wet, windy and cold. I had my heated jacket liner turned up to high and the heated grips also. We made it to the Memphis area for overnight. This is our regular rendezvous spot as it is halfway for my son to ride south to Biloxi tomorrow and for me to ride north to IL. Another wonderful week, riding with my son, it doesn't get much better than that.

Sounds like some wonderful family time. Hope you made it home safe and sound. Woke up this morning to the first real killing frost of the fall.

Just got home about 30 minutes ago. Rode into the cold head wind for 375 miles, getting pretty poor MPG. It was a great trip, but as always, it is good to be home. Odo shows 2001.1 miles for this trip.

Yikes - that is one thing I HATE about the central US. WIND. I can handle cold temps and manage accordingly, but wind is a b**** no matter how you spin it. Looking forward to the trip as the weather looks niiiiice come the weekend down there.

Looks like I am going to make it down for this, arrive Friday evening and camping and depart on Sunday. I'll be looking to do at least 1/2 of total mileage off pavement on Saturday.

Looks like I might be able to make this ride. I was planning a DS adventure ride out of Marble Falls in May as part of an MSTA event, but family issues about killed off all my April/May bike plans. My plan would be to ride to Ar on Thursday and explore Friday and Saturday and ride back home Sunday. I am debating doing either this with the ST, or a strickly off road ride based out of the Brock Creek riding area with my daughter. Brock Creek is pretty cool, 1/2 the area is single track motorcycle only with some very difficult sections. (http://www.jennyandterrythompson.com/BCtoHC.htm) of which it would be crazy to take the ST on, though it could probably do some of the ATV routes in the rest of the park.
Terry

Lots of fun stuff to find, been dual sport riding for quite a few years in the area. I have a ton of off road tracks from Arkansas to potentially explore. Though the majority of them were done with a DRZ400 or Husky TE250 so some of the more difficult stuff would need to be bypassed to use the Tenere. I have some 4X4 tracks from an Arkansas friend that has shown me around AR motorcycle off road stuff for years who 4 wheels in a Toyota that the ST could probably do, though I haven't been on them myself.

Two questions:

Anyone from DFW heading up for this ride?

Anyone camping?

Thanks,
Might check with Jaxon. Carbide is coming out of Texarkana. There is camping available at the Hub for $10/night with restroom, showers available.

Sad to hear that Steve. Would have loved meeting your better half after all the great things I've heard and seeing you again.

Did some pre-running out in WFOPete's neck of the woods and the roads look like they are in good shape. The trees are looking awesome! We are at Peak. Saw over a dozen deer today in my ride. I missed one small doe by a Whisker!!. This was in broad daylight no less. Please be careful traveling here! Weather is looking great for this weekend as well.

My file size for the routes will be big. Please PM me with your email address and I will email you the route for Saturday. Friday I think we can tool around on some of the local gravel roads etc.

Hey everyone, Pretty much have things settled for the most part. There's a few roads in Newton County, I'm going to check out tomorrow. I'll be sending some GPS routes to your emails.

WFOPete is willing to lend a hand for those more "dirt" oriented. He doesn't have a bash plate and doesn't expect that you will need one. Terry he may know of the road east of Hwy 7 that you speak of. I've emailed him what you sent me.

Also Mike, Flying W is coming in on Friday as well from Oklahoma. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks, James

I am fairly certain I have ridden by it three times this last year, I think it exits out on to 7 close to the section on 7 that is level and has the curbed, nearly 90 degree turns before it drops down the mountain for a very twisty bit into Jasper and sort of looks like someone's driveway.
