You're quite welcome Rem. A small token of friendship and appreciation for your forum efforts as well. May it scare the little gremlins out of the garage or away from the steed. Heck, it's got to work, I got my elephant whistles from the same guy and I haven't hit an elephant yet! ;D
At yet you remain fully unprotected from unicorns and griffins! The blind leading the blind I tells ya!

Actually the bells have become sort of gay. (Not that's there's anything wrong with that) It's all about balls now.

Not to worry. It is too cold for unicorns up here, and the griffins can't stand the sunlight during riding season. They come around during the winter, but of course, I don't ride at that time of year. It's all good. ::008:: ::008:: I do appreciate your concern, however. Much appreciated. ::012:: R

Are you pokin' fun at me, boy ?? ARE YOU POKIN' FUN AT ME ????? Well, join the club. I'm used to it, and likely deserve it. However, if you're referring to our inclement weather, and suggesting that my gonads are not adequately voluminous to endure Yukon winters on a motorcycle …. YOU'RE RIGHT ::025:: ::025:: ::015:: .

I may be a fool, but I ain't a damn fool. You can freeze your little toasties off up here just walking to the sauna.

We have had a serious break for the last couple days, though. It's called a chinook. Right in the middle of winter, you get a warm blast from the south, lots of wind, and some outrageous temps. It is normally in the minus 30 range about now, and for the past few days it hit about plus 45 °F. Suuuuuuuuuumbich. I was just out splitting firewood. By tomorrow, back to normal with the added bonus of all that melted snow turning into ice. Gotta love it. Builds character … hopefully soon. R ::003::

Caught that, huh? :D

Just stay warm and safe until Da Mounties send reinforcements in the Spring! I hear Hudson's Bay Co. has a special run on "BTCO" ready for shipping, too - that's blankets to cry on... ;)

For my money, if I'm in the Yukon during winter, I'm lighting my own clothes on fire if it's going to keep me warm! :) But then again, 4 years in 'Merica and my Canadian blood has thinned to wussy proportions...LOL

It's a long "off" season up here in the frozen north. Even in the spring, when things warm up to where you can actually ride comfortably, you still have to wait for a lot of roads to clear of ice and snow. Takes a while. The fact that I have entered my codger years does bring with it a layer of caution not previously fully appreciated. It's just something you accept, although reluctantly. Fortunately the gravel road I live on is heavily plowed all winter because the local ski hill lies beyond. Now, if I can just strip my damn driveway of all that stuff, I'll be ok. I figure 2.475 more months and I'm on the road. Send money. R ::001::

In all seriousness, my hats off to those living in the North.

I'll see if we can arrange a few more Chinooks for ya!

Have you been in California recently? Maybe those fires weren't lightning after all, just Sportsguy trying to send warmth up North... ;) :D

I have lots of Harley "Biker" friends. When I inherited my S10 they all told me I needed to bell it. I laughed. I have had 6 bikes before this one, not one major crash and I never had a bell. My father rode his whole life, 5 years on Motorcycle Patrol on the OKC police department and only laid it down once, on an oil slick. Dad was and I am a bike enthusiast, not a biker. Then my son gave me a bell for Christmas… So I belled it. He had a car pull out in front of him a year and a half ago while riding my previous bike. Helmet saved his life, but he had two broken arms…. Yes, I had to wipe his but again for the first time since diapers…

My Biker buds have told me the bell should be on the lowest point possible. Mine is under the frame, attached with a zip tie. It looks cute.

Sounds like a plan, Rotten Will. Do you get a lot of road debris on the bell? I bought myself one (no one liked me until just recently) and I found it got the snot beat out of it if I had it low on the bike. I raised it up hanging off my top box. Seems pretty happy there. Just curious. Good luck. R

Now that's funny !!! I was at bath & Body Works and saw this 3.5" long bottle opener for $1.95 and I told the wife "that would look good hanging on the Tenere somewhere".
