Save your effort on the bells. Even if they did work, they don't last long. Years ago my wife bought me one and I got her one. They fell off so fast I can only assume the bikes were insulted by the offering and rejected them. I'm just glad they didn't put a hole in the rear tire when the separated from the bike, which, of course, would have been bad luck. :(

Too late. Can't change my mind now. First, someone I've never met cared enough to gift me. All by itself, that is really cool.

Add to that, I love the story. It invites so much embellishment! And seems licensed for such behavior.

I'll JB Weld it if I have to.

Probably my Redneck Texas DNA. We'll bolt all kinds of crap to our trucks.

Bummer. Mine was on the Royal for most of it's 100k, and all the 32k of the Tenere. The same damn lanyard. Looks like oiled leather. Someone needs to patent that silly little lace.
Gremlins I tell ya! They knew you were setting a trap!

My in laws are Harley riders and my sister in law hung a Spirit bell on my Triumph 1050 Tiger, we know how that worked out.

The Gremlins must have hidden in the hollow space of my head as I took off from that green light and not a green arrow in June.. :))

It's perfect! Hmmm, I gotta tell ya, your source was better. I now realize the Cowbell I imagined (and sourced) is a little more Texas sized, if you know what I mean.

Hehe. Geeze, sorry about that. You'll see. Lol

Next time I come across some grizzly bear poop I'll grab you one. The hikers and bikers around here carry little bells to warn off the griz. That's how we tell the difference between griz and black bear poop.

No problem Snakebitten. You didn't even have to send me one so anything I get will be great. I'll make it work. Sounds like it should be interesting.

Haha, yea I shouldn't have implied a Texas boundary on such an endearing trait of our species. We have migrated to the 4 corners over time.

My bad. Thanks for reminding me. My cousins are everywhere.

Most everyone I know who has crashed or had some serious incident on a bike had one of then lame bells on their bikes...they work so well ::005::
I'm going outside to wish upon a star and sprinkle fairy dust on my bike.....OR a person could learn proper riding techniques and not need useless bells.

I hear hanging a Triangle from a bike prevents crashes though...or is it pyramid power? Maybe it was Sousaphone.....tuba ?

I fully expect to keep crashing. But now I can ring the bell so they can find me.

You're quite welcome Rem. A small token of friendship and appreciation for your forum efforts as well. May it scare the little gremlins out of the garage or away from the steed. Heck, it's got to work, I got my elephant whistles from the same guy and I haven't hit an elephant yet! ;D
