The connectors for a number of the models are the same, but the cluster is pin-specific. In other words, while you should be able to plug in a R1 cluster it will know it is on the wrong bike and won't work.

stutrump said:Thanks checkswrecks. Not that Im doubting your advice but I seem to remember (when I opened mine up) that it looked very different to that FJR one and the auto electrical place I went too reckoned it couldn't be fixed.
One thing I am curious of though is, could one plug in a console from for example an R1 and run diagnostics through that? I can buy a cheap R1 console from China but a cheap S10 one appears to be impossible
