I was wondering what octane booster does everybody use when they don't find 92 octane gas?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
That's good to know. This isn't some high performance sport bike tuned to the last hair edge of the motor's life. If you can't find premium, just fill it with regular and ride on. If it's 110F+, you probably shouldn't flog the life out of the engine, otherwise ride like you normally do. Some only run regular gas all the time. I run premium, but don't lose any sleep if I have to fill up with regular during a trip. And Tabasco's tip on Sea Foam, (or Yamaha Ring Free), isn't a bad thing either.
Thanks for the tip Sierra!! That’s good advice."I" generally use a cleaner two tanks prior to the oil change; in ALL of my vehicles. That way, all the "gunk" that gets cleaned/removed goes into the oil, which is then removed. I'm with Eric, the only time that I ALWAYS use premium is in the summer. From the end of June to the beginning of September our temps are commonly 100+. When my wife an I are riding, she tends to "rattle" unless I keep the octane up. (the bike, not the wife; the wife rattles regardless of octane level )
