Hi all,

Been riding bikes since I was a kid and just traded my FJR 1300 for 2013 S10 and love it.

The FJR was a great bike and I had owned it for three years but it didn't do anything for me, it was a bit characterless, the S10 on the other hand is a different kettle of fish.

So at the moment it's getting a few quid spent on it to trick it up a little.

I'm not new to big trail bikes, I've previously owned a 750 S10 and my Dad had them in the 80's when they weren't the big sellers they are now.

The S10 joins the stable to keep my Ducati ST and FJ1200 3XW company.

I hope one day the Rally-Raid organisers bring back the big open class stuff so we can see something at least resembling a 1200 S10 competing against the weaving shed on wheels Bee-Ems.

Any-hoo enough of my waffle and time to read some threads!

Pete.

Welcome aboard! You'll find that quite a lot of us are either former, or even current, FJR owners. Poke around, use the search function here, and ask questions if you can't quite find the answer you're looking for!

hi All,

Thanks for the warm welcome, it's a small world Isn't it? There seems to be quite a few current or former FJR owners who run S10s too.

I'll be still be posting on FJ/FJR forum Hig & DDD. Great to see you guys here BTW.

Loving the bike, the only crud point is the OEM panniers which are on an equal par with the FJRs (useless.)

So when's the first run out guys and were are we going?? :)

I dodged the OE Panniers and went with SW-Motech Trax which are about 40% bigger, look good and the quick release rails are very handy, probably not great for off-road, bit for my touring use they look and work well.

Great choice of bike, awesome value, top reliability and easy to improve handling and performance and still be well under the cost of the "better" adventure bikes (as rated by the mornic press)

Loving mine 3 years on ::008::
