Newest Colorado Tenere rider on board.

Hey all,
Just bought a 16 S10. I have been a fan since Yamaha released this bike. I have owned a couple of KLR's and traded in my trusty '08 DL1000 for this beast. I like to adventure around Colorado. I live just outside of Firestone and do a lot of day trips from home base.

Looking forward to being apart of this group, It's already helped me deal with the shoddy instructions included with the OEM Case mounts!

I picked it up at the dealer in Boulder. I did something totally crazy too, I did not test ride it. I sat on several of them in showrooms over the last few years and watched dozens of videos on Youtube. I went it and bought it without ever test riding one. My buddy told me I was crazy, I told him that the first time I rode it, was gonna be on the ride home after buying it. I absolutely love it. I wish this damn weather would go way, I want to ride! Where are you based at Colorider?

Bill, I love Gunnison. My wife and I have a family cabin up there in the Mill Creek area. We spend a lot of time up there from May through October. August is a little tough because our kids start back to school, but hit me up and let me know when your in town.

Many of us never had the chance to ride one before we bought - atleast during the PDP on the original 2012 models.

kpduffy: I did the same thing and yep, folks thought I was crazy. Bought it without riding it. Did tons of research and quickly narrowed down what I wanted to a Tenere. Bike was for sale over in East Tennessee, I negotiated a price with the seller, and drove across the state pulling a trailer. It all appeared to be in great shape as advertised and the seller asked if I want to ride it. I said no, we did the paperwork, loaded it on the trailer, and been loving every minute of it since.

Given the late season snow the usual group of us that ride west of Denver have yet to get out. Well at least off the pavement and gravel county roads. We were able to get to the Goose Creek area by this time last year.
