Good evening all.

What are peoples thoughts on the best :-
Crash bars
Sat nav mount
Hugger
Fender extender

Also do any companies do a protector for the front of the engine/exhaust headers as I've seen many tarnished and badly deteriorated.

Thanks in advance

Not a spammer just had some personal things going on like being a victim of fraud and lost a very large some of money, so my bike had to be the last thing to think about.
So my questions were from deep within asking for best options, but thank you for the warm welcome guys I’ll remember it greatly.

Crash bars=AltRider
Sat nav mount=use RAM mount on existing bar
Hugger=did not bother as the rear shock is my only concern and it has a guard.
Fender extender=none for me

Hi

Welcome and sorry about the poor reception

Altrider crash bars come highly recommended on here. I use Givi and although they were sacrificed they saved my bike from a lot of damage when it went down after an argument with the nearside of a right turning car!

As for the sat nav bracket....it all depends where you want to mount it. If you want to utilise the bar in the screen mount, a friend of mine uses this and rates it although you may need to 'pack out' the clamp

ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.PNG

Front mudguard extender......probably Pyramid

Don't have a hugger so can't make a comment

Where abouts in the UK are you?

Hi Mike thank you for your information, I’m based in the midlands I have my own bike shop so have a lot of knowledge of bikes but I’m a believer in asking “actual users” of products rather than buying the most expensive.
I did see that mount and liked it, I will assess where I’m going to want it placed tomorrow when I build and pdi the bike thoroughly.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for the questioning, we have had a bunch of suspicious posts just recently. It seems there are a few members as of late that just want to stir political nonsense. I wonder if they own a Super Tenere or have ever owned one.

I run Givi crash bars, with an ACD skid plate and have been happy with that combo. If I was buying I would check out T Rex products.
My Garmin 396 is mounted to the cross bar above the speed display. It works well there.

I’ve been very pleased with the Happy Trails pannier racks. They are pretty stout, and give me a “rear” cash bar without the panniers attached.

Pyramid Plastics-UK makes some nice bits of plastic gear for S10s.
I have the Extenda Fenda and so far it works as intended.
Here is a link from their website with everything S10 related:

Pyramid Plastics fender extender fits fine and looks good. It also stops a lot on muck getting on the front of the engine and headers. It should also stop or at least ease the possibility of water to the top of the engine and getting into the plug wells, which many have experienced, leading to rusted plugs and difficult to remove coils.

I have Givi crash bars and am happy with them, they look good, panels can still be removed, we’re easy to fit. Not planning to test them, so no idea how they’d stand up in a spill.

Good luck with the new bike.

Welcome aboard and your first post was not an intro. It sounded like some of the trolls we've had recently. Sorry to be blunt but the bike has been in production for over 10 years so ALL of these same noob questions have been asked and answered countless times, as the search function will show. It's a bit of a flavor thing on many of them, such as Givi giving enough protection for the basics but AltRider if you want to go off road more.

Avoid the front fender extenders, even if 100% pavement, as we've had a number of members pick up a bit of road debris that pushed the extender back enough to catch on the skid plate and lock up the steering, if just for a short period of time, usually resulting in at least a broken fender. Below was mine.

Instead, we've had members make a simple aluminum tab that extends upward from the skid plate.

Most likely not going to happen with an ACD skid plate:

T-Rex Racing Skid-Plate extends up the front of the engine to protect the Exhaust headers.
It has openings in the side to access both drain-plugs, and also a "Trap-Door" to change the oil filter without removing the Plate.

I don't use a fender-extender, and I'm still the best Hugger I know................

Crash-Bars:
I Have the OEM Yamaha lower Bars, combined with the Rumbux add-on upper Bars.
Protects the bike extremely well! I've tested them with numerous tip-overs..............no damage whatsoever to the bike or bodywork.
The downside is the Rumbux bars are out of production.

I can still completely remove the right side body panel to access the electrics, and I can move the left side panel enough to access the top of the radiator without removing the bars.

For my GPS Mount, I am just using the basic RAM ball mounted to the "Navigation Bar" on the factory windscreen bracket.
I currently have my Garmin Zumo-XT mounted to it, and it is really solid. Does not move at all.
Can easily read it while sitting or standing.
