I'm about to replace my bars with Protaper Contour ATV Mid bars. Are there any things to look for or no about before the swap? Is the left grip just glued on like a standard dirt bike grip? Any tricks to getting it off to reuse?

Thanks,

Yep, just like any dirt bike, or most other bikes for that matter, the grip is just glued on. All the normal methods for removal will work... Pressurized air, a bit of contact cleaner squirted under the grip, etc., etc.

I easily removed my left grip by spraying WD-40 under the grip using the red tube that comes with a can of WD-40. A couple of twists and it was off. I did order a new set of grips to have on hand just-in-case. You will need to install something inside the bars for the bar end to thread to. There are several options. Look to earlier post in this thread. I used the setup that required me to tap the inside of the bars. A tap was included in the kit.

This is the bar-end mount kit that I used.
