Graham saying that you're from down under, any way of getting that Wasp Greg fella to produce some more of his parts? Sheesh it looks like I was a little too late to the show. I just road with a journalist for a motorcycle magazine from Australia, crazy bastard he was on loose gravel. "This is how we ride in Oz!" he said.

Hey all, I just picked up a 2012 Super Tenere on Saturday this past weekend. I've been riding for a few days and am getting used to and liking it. I am coming off of a R1200GS and there are some differences but most are for the better. I met a few of you guys including I believe it is NorthWest Cajun at the Altrider Event a couple of weekends ago. I hope I'll be able to get some new information and events out of you guys. Hopefully a more mature crowd as well.
Went off the beaten path on Friday night for the first time in the dark no less. Couple of quick observations. I need more light! Super is much better off road than the R1200GS. All of the jumps that I was bottoming on the GS I was hitting harder and faster and didn't feel the suspension touch bottom. There was one particular jump that I hit harder than I should have and bottomed but it wasn't a wincing kind of painful bottom though I felt it. I think I need to refrain from doing too much more of that until I get an actual skid plate. I was impressed none the less. Bike still feels lighter and more stable than the GS even off road. The traction control is pretty useless in 1 and only slightly tolerable in 2. We stopped a couple of times and I forgot to shut the traction control back off and had a hard time climbing anything that was loose. All in all a good evening of riding.
