I'm assuming the fallout causes some engine damage? Or were you just looking for a reason? :p

The fault with the plug was at the top end ... the electrode running through the ceramic insulator came apart. It pulled straight out with no effort. I'd been right through the bike and hadn't picked it up ... the symptoms came and went ... couldn't track it down. That's why I took it to the pro's. They found it instantly. ::)

I ended up having the Storm replaced with an FZ6 S2 N. So I now have this years winter hack parked up in my garage. I'm going to throw a set of Probolt s/s kit on it to winterise the bike. This thing rides really well and is great as a runabout. I'll post up some pics soon.

Ooohh! I thought you meant you replaced the spark plug, not the bike. ::)

I've been missing my FZ1 since I gave it to my friend.....still have my Honda CBR600RR which is a great track bike but not alot of fun riding back and forth to work.......have thought about picking up a used FZ1 or FZ6.....love those FZ's!!

I really regret letting my FZ1 go. I'll dig some pics out ... it was a blinding bike.

Nice. I like the silver ones. I have the faired '04 blue one, really like it quite a lot. Yamagal59 suggested I sell it when the S10 shows up, but I'd rather keep it: paid for, works very well, comfortable (with the Corbin seat, original was a square-edged plank) and gets 50 MPG almost all the time. Is is perhaps the least demanding motorcycle, in terms of maintenance, that I have ever owned. Change the oil lube the chain, fill it with gas, plugs every other year, air filter every third. That's it.
Like he said: I love FZs.

I have the black & gold set up on my FZ1. I really enjoy that bike. Not planning on getting rid of it anytime soon.

I notice you have disk locks on even in the garage.. Here in Iowa I can just leave my bike in the driveway with the keys in it all night. "Iowa a place to grow" I think I've been here too long.

I got that beat, last time I rode to work I left the key in the ignition! Luckily for me the ignition switch is kinda hidden from view on the ST1300....

It's not that there is a particular theft issue here or in the UK generally but the Brits insurance policies are quite onerous. I have a lot of relatively high value bikes and they like the fact that they're individually alarmed, disc locked and reside in fully alarmed garages. I also have to leave them at short notice for unknown periods ... I'm the ultimate nightmare for the insurance company. ??? They do like to take my money though. ::)

This is really my home security system, He grew up wild living along the Des Moines River. When we brought him home he could jump a cattle panel. He likes his home very much now and doesn't want it disturbed. He may look lazy but is very tough.

We need to set this up as sort of an "exclusive" club - for those that own both. Good combo and I'm still hoping I can keep the FJR after I take delivery on the SuperT.

:D
