Yesterday morning, I sold one of my 2013 Super Tenere's and replaced it with a fully loaded 2016 R1200GS.

I'll still have one Super Tenere in the fleet, but couldn't resist the GS itch. I'll keep everyone posted on how it behaves. ;) So far, I have 180 miles on it and must say, it rides and handles like a dream.

You must admit, it looks sharp, yes??

Along with the BMW did you get an insatiable desire to stop at every Starbucks you passed? ::025::

Wow, very nice, enjoy the new ride. ::012::

It took me awhile and a bunch of fiddling with the dampening/rebound and the pre-load adjustments to learn how each affects the ride and how all functions are affected when changing ride modes. These bikes have many personalities, none of them bad.

Ride far, be safe, have fun..

Pay no attention to those who envy your whale foreskin riding apparel, sad really. :D

HAd two BMW's, went with the S-10, due to the maintenance issues (cost/ frequency) an the fact that no matter where you go, there is a Yamaha shop. No special tools required to do field repairs. You can't even have a shop change and balance a rear tire of a BMW without a special adaptor. And finally, add 20% to everything, cause if says "BMW". Other than that, no problem. My two cents. ::021::

I LOVE my Whale Foreskin Lined Jacket!
It was well worth the extra $$$ when I bought my RS.
The BMW logo on the front chest makes it all perfect, such comfort and style!

Had 4 single cam 1200gs's
1 R100GSPD
4 1150 GS's
2 1100 GS's
1 650 GS
1 800 GS
Didn't have much go wrong with any of them....and what did wasn't anything that needed a recovery truck ...

The WC's have upped the bar...I can't say I will not have one some time in the future....Love the S10... Loved the GS's when I had them ::021::

I really want to know which machine you will pick when you are going for a long trip now where you will be hitting all sorts of road conditions - the good, the bad, and the ugly, and need the best balance of comfort, capability, reliability, speed, and "I don't give a shit if I drop it"

Are you asking about when I post that I have a Super Tenere on the BMW forum? Or, when I tell other BMW owners? Amongst owners, people generally respond favorably towards it. They don't speak negatively about the bike. And really, that's reasonable, because there's very little negative to be said about the Super Tenere.
