I've had my Neotec since April. I wear a 7 7/8" hat size and finding a helmet that fits me has always been a chore. My last helmet was a Shoei Hornet DS but I had to spoon the forehead area on that one to make it feel right.

Not so on the Neotec, it's been wonderful since new. I haven't posted on this thread before because I agree with all of the comments you all are putting up and I had nothing to add... Until this morning...

I haven't ridden in the past month or so too much because here in the PNW it's been a very mild and wet early winter, and I'd generally have to ride with the shield cracked open which leads to wet face, foggy shield and low visibility. I just got tired of it. Well, this morning it was foggy, wet and dark, but no rain in the forecast. I remembered about the no-fog insert that has been sitting in my toolbox since I first got the helmet and thought "I don't need this thing".... I installed it and it totally transformed my riding experience. No fog, no cold face, great visibility, just enjoyable ride through the foggy dark morning to work.

This is truly a comfortable, quiet, functional, super helmet. Best I've ever had.

This is probably my next gear purchase. I got a RF-1100 after I bought my Busa because I realized that bike was dangerous. It's a great helmet. I've got a 7-3/4" pumpkin and the Shoei's fit me best. I've tried this helmet on at Cycle Gear, but with buying a house funds have been a little tighter than normal. It did fit really well though. Based on the great on bike reviews, I'm sold.

I just wish Shoei made the Hornet in XXL.

I was raised in the PNW. The weather here in Aomori Prefecture, Japan is very similar. +1 on the the pinlock, anti-fog insert. I scoffed at as a gimmick initially, but gave it try and am a believer now. The Neotec also keeps the cold air away from my head much better than my breezy Shark RSI did. I very seldomly need to use a balaclava anymore.
