We’re heading back to see wife’s family next year. Plans are to ride down to Cornwall area.
Obviously will be staying to the right on the way down to miss London. Nothing there I want to see

Took my wheels and new tyres to my mot man yesterday morning before heading off to my job for the day. Got a message half two to say they’re done, so with my job done I headed back to collect them. Got home just in time to shower n shave, and pimp myself up to catch a train to London to see We wIll rock you, with the wife of course. Cracking show, about our 9th time seeing it, interesting to see Ben Elton play Pop. Long old day though, we didn’t get home till gone midnight.
So tonight I‘ve refitted the rear, was just about to fit the front and tyres on back to front. So I’ve another early start tomorrow to run it back to him…..doh.
Odd that there’s no direction markings anywhere on the wheel or discs, think thats a first.

Sent my older pair of Daytina boots back to Germany just before our holiday. Needed new soles and gearchange pads, and possibly liners. However they said they’re too old for liners, quite why I’m not sure as they’re still a current model?? Anyway, they arrived back today looking rather nice. £146 for the repairs inc post etc, plus the £14 to post over. 57C60389-B115-4492-9D17-2A0038305966.jpeg

I have a quite a few mates that own and have owned Daytona boots and all have been highly complimentary of them. Very comfortable and never leaking. My current Alpinestars are past their best, I reckon it’s Daytonas next for me.

Did you send them direct to the Daytona factory or is there a specific address for repairs ? My Daytona Travel Star GTX are the best boots I have ever owned.
Direct. Don’t waste time going through any agents or tranam. Tranam quote 12weeks, and charge a hell of a premium on top, these have been there and back in less than 3.

They’re closed now till the 28th, but email them pics of your boots. You then fill out the form downloaded from this page and post them out.
My newer pair will be heading over that weekend so they receive them as soon as they’re back.

These are my second and third pairs of Roadstars, can’t recommend them highly enough. 20+ years from three pairs, two of which will probably see my riding days out. I’ve also got a pair of the carbon shelled track day boots, but never wear them now, so I’m thinking of selling them on.

Good info, thanks for this. I had heard a few horror stories about Transam regarding waiting time.
I have posts on ukgser covering this experience. One guy quoted tranam which reads like they’re trying their best to put people off. 12 week turnaround, closed until september, and £300 for soles and liners and £145 for just soles, and blaming brexit for issues. Sounds like they’re aiming at getting people to just buy new boots.

After returning from our Highland Holiday on Monday, I’ve finally found time to give her a wash n brush up this afternoon. While driving home on Monday I sorned her, mainly to make me use the Pan for a couple of months. I’ve just accepted the offer to join my mates to Valencia in early November, so I might well keep her sorned till then, preserving the Tourances for that trip while I’m at it. I am off to Normandy in September too, but again the Pan will do that just fine. It’ll be 1st MOT time for the Tenere come the end of November too, but I might see if I can get her tested early in the morning of the 1st before loading and heading to Portsmouth for the overnight ferry that night. And I really must find someone that can recover my modded Tourtech seat, my attempts to reattatch the original cover haven’t worked very well and it’s coming adrift.

Had a post come up on Facebook about a bike night at Lincolnshire Aviation for last night. Now a very rare situation, the wife was able to have a half day yesterday and jumped at the opertunity to go see Just Jane again.

There’s also a new stablemate,a Mosquito. Be great if they can get this one flying again, possibly more likley than Jane, although they are trying.

We were quite lucky and got there pretty much as soon as the gates opened.

Took the Pan as the Ten is still sorned having a rest for a month or two. First time the wifes been on the Pan in over two years, she admits it’s more comfy, but harder to get on and off. The combination of Top box and the wide panniers make it harder even though the Ten is taller.
