Hi there

I am from South Africa in the Eastern Cape Port Elizabeth
Upgraded from xt660z to xt1200z
Nice to read all your technical stuff and also did some of them...
Farkeled:
Removed cat
Fitted acro slipon
25mm Handle bar raisers
Tankbag
Givi Rear box
and did a tbs and backed out the airscrews 270 degrees

hi there

yes all i need now is to get some lowering links, but will first get the technical info on how the bike will handle after lowering links and how to set it up.
I had to lower the front forks in the yokes on the 660z and was not very happy with the handling.

Just noticed this. Where were they to start with? My SA spec bike was already at 270 from closed.

mine was closed both sides..... SA spec bike...had to open it 270 from close.

Hmmmm! Well mine was prepped in Japan, so maybe that's why. That's really wierd on yours though because Euro and SA are setup the same in most regards.

thats very interesting.....that the bikes dont get setup all the same....Have you found that bikes of the uk or elsewhere are the same as yours?

Blue eyes reported that his euro spec bike came setup @ 270 open. Since my SA was the same, I guess I came to a conclusion with too small of a sample size;-)
