Welcome CanadianTenere!

The yellow version mentioned earlier is the 60th Anniversary Special.

I saw one at the Calgary bike show recently. I like black myself though - I have a black 2012 ...

Nice!
Thanks again all for the welcomes. I had an unfortunate experience (already) with my insurer. Got a quote from my company before I bought the new bike. It was super attractive, so I went ahead with the purchase. Four weeks later, I got the renewal notice. Up by 250%! Not so nice. My very first look has two companies with quotes at 50% of the previous. So I'm dropping them like a hot potato. I don't like jumping suppliers but I don't care for treatment like that. Looks like I will be spending more on insurance than I had thought, even if I shop it around. Anyway, I quickly got quotes that I can live with, even though it's considerably more that I expected to be paying.

Congrats on the new bike. Too bad about the insurance. I don't know how they can do that. Either way, mine has been sitting in the garage as I picked it up in early January and it's a 2015. I've already spent more money on it than I thought I would.

My trip for this year will be down the California coastline to visit a bunch of friends and family in Oregon and California. About 10,000kms return. Heck of a way to break a bike in. Trial by fire I suppose.

If you ever head out to the beautiful west, drop by. Lots of friendly folks around here. I'm in the Edmonton, AB area.
