Hi all, I just joined. Picked up a new 2016 ES this week! I will be riding in Hamilton and the Niagara Region of Southern Ontario Canada. I plan to commute to work and to take occasional pleasure rides. Probably pavement only, though some will be rough. I am hoping for a few stolen moments with the bike before the weather gets cold and the salt is applied to the roads. I just got back into road bikes this past June after an eight year hiatus. Bought a Kawasaki Versys (delightful bike) to see if I still like it. This helped me identify what I wanted in a move up. So after only a few months back on the road, I traded the Kaw for a new Super Ten. Hoping for good fortune.

Thanks all, for your gracious welcomes! I don't have a pic yet, but here in Canada, I believe the only colour is the metallic black for the 2016 ES model. I will try to post a pic soon. It was 6 degrees celcius today, and I did a 112 km ride along Lake Erie as my first ride since bringing it home. I was largely in the touring mode, with a short stint in sport mode. I like the gentle manors of the bike and the calm ride. I wouldn't mind a little more heat from the grips, but I have gone into the menu for the grip settings and selected number 10 for the high setting. I believe that it is the hottest choice available. A better pair of biking gloves may be the answer. Otherwise, I'm delighted by the bike.I hope for a few more stolen moments on it before it gets too cold and the salt is applied to the roads here. :)
Thanks again!

And thanks again! Got the odometer up to 200 km today. A balmy 8 celcius! Are you able to ride all year there? I expect that they don't use salt on the roads.

Sincerely,

Hi, I am in Ancaster. I am new here and to the Super Tenere as well; I bought a gently used 2013 with 13,000 km in October. I got out for a few hours riding yesterday with the unseasonably warm weather. I think it was about 350 km.

I'm glad to see that there are more S10s in the area. I've never seen one on the road. But then again, I wasn't attuned to the beast till lately! Maybe we'll cross paths.

Greetings! It's nice to have another Tenere in the area. I'm a little north of you in Cambridge. Lots of nice riding around the escarpment. Maybe we will see you out on the roads.

Hello Canadian Tenere,

Welcome!

You have never seen one? We have a forum in Quebec called Ridaventure. And although all Tenere owners are not on Ridaventure, there are 40+ S10 owners. Not bad for Quebec only, and on a French forum. I guess there are much more S10 in quebec, so it should be the same in Ontario.

Welcome and congratulations on the new bike!

There seems to be more than a few Super Tens around southern Ontario, I'm in Mississauga and a know of another in Fort Erie.

Cheers, TOEagle

::004:: welcome aboard. You will love it here and on the Tenere. I am up the road in Burlington. It's a great machine, you will learn to love. Last August, headed south to West Virginia... and ended up here:

It's quite an adventure when your camping trip takes you cross-country.
