I tried to download this to my iPhone but there are no choices under year or model scrolls. It's all blank and I can proceed no further.

The Speedo on this bike, especially now that its in digits... the speedo is SO way off its almost pointless to use for accurate spead measurement.. I just use my GPS's speedometer. Otherwise you have start remembering "115kph indicated is actually 100kph" and "91KPH is actually 80" So annoying it hurts. I think something like this can be adjusted with a flash tune but who knows where it can be done in Southern Ontario.Gobear said:Some what tongue and cheek this post was..besides the back pouch matches the crash bars..
Still don't upstanding how in 2017 my speedo is still off by seven kilometers
Cheers,
Gary
Maybe it's just the Canadian models that are off, my 2015 is consistently correct to my GPS within 1-2 MPH. I understand that speedometer accuracy actually improved for the 2nd gen models with the digital instrument cluster compared to the 1st gen models.RicoChet said:The Speedo on this bike, especially now that its in digits... the speedo is SO way off its almost pointless to use for accurate spead measurement.. It's possible, I don't have anything to compare with for a US model but when I'm riding at 115 indicated on the speedo the GPS says its close to 100 which is the "10 percent" off difference.. with a digital tach I don't see why they can't just put the proper speed in, what it ultimately does is cause me to go under the speed limit everywhere which is good for speeding tickets, but when people are flying by me because im doing 10, 15 or 20 under the limit it's unpleasant! I just use my GPS speedometer now so at least I've got that.WJBertrand said:Maybe it's just the Canadian models that are off, my 2015 is consistently correct to my GPS within 1-2 MPH. Can you switch the new bikes to MPH ? I know my 2012 can't.Gobear said:Interesting as everyone of my BMW GS ..and I've owned four have had inaccurate speedo's...as a matter of fact now that I think about it none of the bikes I've owned has had an 100 % accurate speedo...
I'm curious if I switch to MPH ...if it effects the reading as much ..
In Ontario I always drive 15 kilometers over the limit ,at only 15 over if there is some kind of zero tolerance speed trap..I don't loose any points on my license..once your 16 over ..you get fined and loose points which effects your cost of insurance .
First thing I fitted to the bike was a GPS..,it's at eye level so I dint bother looking at the speedo..
I love the bike ...
Let me know if you can, from what I read before on the forums previously is the USA Models can switch to KPH but not the other way around.. we Canadians cannot switch to MPH.. Dunno if its true or notGobear said:Is says you can ... It's supposed to be on page 4-16 ....I'm going to keep reading
+1. A quart freezer bag under the side with the owner's manual AND the insurance /registration card. Don't need that crap often but it's there when you do. Watertight so no issues in the rain. Mine's been there for 3 years +... No need for a high tech solution to a low tech problem ::008::EricV said:First - You got a plastic bag with your owner's manual!? ???
Second, just use a quart zip lock freezer bag. It holds up better, is easier to replace when necessary and fits under the seat just fine.
.pdf file on the smart phone? Riiiight, and then they will be telling you to create an excel file for your maintenance log instead of just writing it in the back of the manual. Never mind the tire log. And the list of Fu**tard dealers never to be trusted again. Oh wait, I don't let the dealer touch the bike except for warranty work.
