Off the grid?? ::012::
I fully agree with you concerning the flip phone, I have one and it is at least 5-years old, and it does exactly what I need it to do. Not that I dislike smart phones and I do see their benefits, just simply too expensive to have one.

Off the grid? ::026::
I don't consider myself away from home or on vacation until I find a location where the cell phone does not work.

Storing it on the cloud like dropbox, google drive or one drive etc is not ideal... if you don't have mobile cell service then you are sheit out of luck trying to download it to read.

Best thing to do is is store it in Acrobat Reader on your phone - since it is a PDF.
In IOS (iphone or ipad) open it up then click the 'more' or 'open with' or '...' button, then choose open in Acrobat Reader. This will save it locally on the device so you can read it when not connected to the the interweb thingy. Just Open Acrobat Reader and it will be there as a local file.

For you android/windows users.... ::002::

Ok...I'll ask. What's the best way to put it on my phone? I know how I was going to do it, but I tend to over think these things. I never do it the simple way...and yes, I'm an analog man in a digital world.
Save the PDF in the "Books" App if you have an iPhone

For some reason I couldn't access it with my iphone6. I downloaded it on my laptop and sent it to the phone and it's in ibooks now. Thanks everybody for the tips!!

This week saw the finest weather in 5 months up here and coincidentally I started the Mother Of All Headcolds at the same time. After 7 days I finally feel on the down slope now. Hopefully back to it in another coupla days. Happy Easter!!!

Thats the primary use of Books for me on my iPad. I keep all kinds of manuals there, many related to items I work with that I may need to reference from time to time.
