Hi All
I put down a deposit today for my Super Tenere; turn the key for the first time in a few days.
This is my first real adventure style bike after running a Kawasaki Versys for most of the last year as an intro to the ergonomics of these bikes.
Initially I considered the GS (like many here, I'm sure :-X). As part of my research I flew down to Melbourne for a test ride of the Super Tenere and did a 300km loop of city, freeway, twisties, 60km of gravel and even a little snow. The bike surprised me with its all around performance and all-day potential.
I have no off-road skills :'( , so am looking to add some. I mainly ride long IBA distances. I think that this bike will let me explore more roads and still rack-up big days in comfort.
I'm sure I'll be running my Twisted Throttle account pretty hard in the next few weeks.
