In my opinion KBB is high, NADA is closer to the real world pricing. Also, all of the dealers use a version of NADA. Left over 2013's hare are priced at $9999.
Alot of years ago a pal of mine had a bike stolen. A guy showed up to check it out, was allowed a demo ride and never came back. Apparently this guy, this was his MO. He would ride a bike into the ground and then seal another one under the pretense of a demo ride.
My pas's bike turned up a year later when the guy rode it to demo ride another bike for sale and just kept going. Loca LEO's could not do much since the had not id on the guy and the plates on the bike were switched out.
So, understand that if someone takes your bike out for a demo ride and has an accident or crashes it, who pays?
Personally I would not allow a demo ride unless, as people have said you have in your hand an envelope full of cash or a cashers check.
Good luck with selling your bike.
