I did a search and didn't find anything so I am creating this thread. I was hooning it up chasing a group of FJR riders this weekend in Southeast Ohio. When I got back to the hotel someone pointed out that I had a fairly large (i.e. 2 inchish) lateral rip on the left side on my tire in one of the outside sipes. I also discovered a few smaller (i.e. 1/4 inch) tears in the left outside sipes. I presume it is because I was pushing the tire so hard. It was inflated to 40 PSI.
I "repaired" it by filling the tears with JB Weld. The JB Weld held! I will be looking into other tires in the near future (more street-oriented for hooning it up). Anyone else have similar experiences/issues with these tires like this?
Also, any recommendations on what tire(s) to replace them with?
