It's gone big time! Its own website, t-shirts, and all for a one-horse town. And loads of fun. I made the (short) trek when I was living in Terre Haute and later Greencastle. Fun part was, I could go several times a year. And pay a call on Terry each time. Sadly, I'm too far and too busy now. :(

I am planning on making it too. May do it all in one day or maybe stay at a friends place on Lake Decatur for Saturday night and ride home Sunday.

Have fun guys. This has been on my wish list for years, but something always takes precedence and I can't take the time off. This year, it's saving for the Alaska trip in June, (like a month off riding is going to suck! ;D ), but I still want to do Moonshine before it's no longer there or being done. Did Stagecoach in AL and Demming, NM the last year it was done, and Hyder multiple times before that event ended. Got a couple others on the wish list.

Enjoy the moon burgers and the people!

I've been to Moonshine a couple of times. Really a great experience. Twice I received recognition for 2nd longest distance traveled, and camping at Terry's farm is one of the best social events I've ever experienced on a bike (a motorcycle mini-Woodstock). Terry had a great gift for including every kind of bike and rider. Meeting all the varieties of riders coming from every direction, all for a Moonburger on Saturday afternoon, in usually less than great weather is something only Terry Hammond could put together. He was a bigger than life piece o' work, and the world needs more people like him.

This year my Spring cross country trip got waylayed while I'm in the process of swapping over from my trusty old Honda ST 1100 to a new Yamaha Super Tenere (I'm still waiting for it's arrival). So no Moonshine, no dipping my toes in the Atlantic. But I'll be back on the road before too long, and it won't all be paved this time. There's a lot of roads to discover between Northern California and Moonshine, and I'm looking forward to traveling them.

Safe riding to all those heading out for a Moonburger tomorrow.
