YES/ You can search and you will not be wasting your time. It has been done. I think it's somewhere over in the main S10 thread at ADV Rider.BlueByU said:I was wondering if anyone as wired a remote Switch on the handlebar so U can toggle through the modes that the right mode button does?

No. I'm talking about the button that controls temp, mpg avg, outside temp.I just think it would be great to be able to toggle right from the left side of the handlebar instead of having to reach for it.~TABASCO~ said:You mean for (S) and (T) ?
That's a good idea. There isn't an outside temp, it's the intake temp, would be nice to have an outside (ambient) temp, ice warning and gear indicated included in there.BlueByU said:No. I'm talking about the button that controls temp, mpg avg, outside temp.I just think it would be great to be able to toggle right from the left side of the handlebar instead of having to reach for it.

Thanks FF911. I will be ordering that soon. U can tell I haven't read the owners book yet or I would have know that it was intake temp instead of outside temp. That's would have been more useful.I guess Yamaha think we care about inlet temp.Firefight911 said:
The temp should be dead on first thing in the morning, everything is ambient temp then.BlueByU said:Thanks FF911. I will be ordering that soon. Are you saying the Canadian model does not have Miles?erenet said:Would also be nice to have simple things like km & miles like the US models, all our old analog cars and bike had both. I don't think in US was like that, now it's the other way around.
What are they smoking? most of us live near the border!! : Maybe Yamaha Canada workers don't like to travel south
Oh, we have chipped keys, who knows it might help us in bear country.
I guess they all have room for improvements, still like my S10.
Yes, km only, and US model you can switch the speedometer miles to km, not the odometer/trip odometer, is that correct?tomatocity said:Are you saying the Canadian model does not have Miles?
As I found out by accident. To change to Km: when resetting the Trip 1 mode; hold the Left Button longer than normal and it will change to Km. Do the same again to switch back to Miles.erenet said:Yes, km only, and US model you can switch the speedometer miles to km, not the odometer/trip odometer, is that correct?
Maybe it's a safety thing for some of us, it's hard to tell the difference between 120km/h and 120Miles/h.
WTF :question:tomatocity said:As I found out by accident. To change to Km: when resetting the Trip 1 mode; hold the Left Button longer than normal and it will change to Km. Do the same again to switch back to Miles.
Can't believe it was a Yamaha decision for Km only. Probably a national decision. Is Quebec a deciding factor in Canada?
