Thanks guys, just be careful with the cat, they fight back!avc8130 said:You've inspired me! My exhaust guard is off the bike and under its first coat of Plasti-Dip. I've been meaning to do this for 11 months. Thanks!

Dont think it would be very hard, not much going on back there but a few wire harnesses & a bunch of bolts & nuts. I'd say a few hours to pull it apart completely. Main issue would just be cataloging the parts & making sure you put it back together properly.kenbike said:I really like the look of the black. How much work would it be to pull the rear frame extension and have it blacked out also?
Not difficult at all, I did it and I'm a basic mechanic... one or two hours maximum.kenbike said:I really like the look of the black. How much work would it be to pull the rear frame extension and have it blacked out also?

Hey Crockett, crockett said:I have a shorty CalSci tinted windshield. I wasn't happy with the wind noise I was having when I used my Shoei Neotech, so I cut the shield to the height of the brackets which hold it on to the bike. What a difference it made in wind noise on my helmet. It's like riding without a shield - big improvement. My question is this. I'm thinking of plastiDipping the shield. Has anyone done this?
I'm wondering how it would hold up on the smooth plastic. Since I don't look through it, and I like the black look, I'm thinking this might be an easy mod. BUT, I don't want something I'm going to be having to redo all the time.
I don't mean to highjack the thread; I figured those who have PlastiDipped would be reading this.
