On the 2018 thread there is a link to GPX files located on Drop Box but the files no longer exist. Does someone have GPX files of possible roads and trails to ride?
From the ADV thread:
Hey all, for this year, I've moved the GPS files, route sheets and introduction doc to Google Drive so that people don't have to get Dropbox accounts.

The orientation doc has a general description, miles, hours, links to the individual route sheets and GPX files, includes a picture of all the routes in the area and reiterates the legal disclosure. We had this before, but recreated it and (I think) corrected all the links.

Have a look: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-eqIhbA9c455L2ty8RbNf3fd5iq4t7L8yQfKWQTZyQ0/edit?usp=share_link

Have a look at let me know if you have any issues accessing the reference doc or any of the route sheets and GPS files it links to!

The routes are here. This link is also in two locations on the first post.

I spent a a good part of yesterday checking out a few of the favorite roads. Greenland Gap, Mt Storm, Rt 72, River Road on the pavement side, all in good shape. Red Creek, Dolly Sods, and Douglas Road (Blackwater Canyon Rim Road) on the off pavement, are living up to expectations. I shot video but it will take me a few days to get something assembled. Here's a few clips of how the roads looked yesterday. All of these are on one or more of the published routes.

Mt Storm

Waterfall on Rt72/River Road is slowed to a trickle

Rt 72

Dolly Sods

Douglas Road - As muddy as ever.

...and look, a brand new interesting feature on Douglas Road.

Just a couple of weeks away.

Not to interrupt the chicken dinner conversation...really, you guys are doing great. Please keep it up.

But to interject something different for a moment, here are two of the three pre-ride videos. These were shot for people new to the event to see the types of road available in the area. Most everything shown is on our published routes at this link here.

A tiny fraction of the paved stuff.

And the not so paved stuff.

I did a pre-ride yesterday on best of the nearby MABDR, section 3. Smoke Hole Road and the water crossings south of Rt 33. I'll have that video up shortly. The BDR is not on our published routes, but is available at the BDR website.

Everything is looking great...well, that may not be the best description for Douglas Road. Of course, depending on your perspective, Douglas road is looking great, too.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. Who wants a chicken dinner?
