:D That came in handy as I have been laid off since October 5th
Laid off in Los Alamos?! When I worked there in the 80's that town had so much money floating around they could pay people to sit at a coffee shop........

.....sorry you are without work.....

Harsh reality!

Lots of money still just not from the Government budget cuts, you have to have the correct last name before they hand you the golden shovel to play in this sand box, and 30+ years ago I was 20 something..
Contractors get the first lethal injection when the budget threatens the anointed lab workers paychecks.

Wasn't for some upper management typo screw up and using cat litter absorbent that led to an exploding drum in the salt mine at Carlsbad storage facility, it down all shipment of waste for going on close to two years now I would still be working.
The new generated waste stuff is getting backed up like a bad constipation. I am sure I will be needed just not at this time, it's the hurry up and wait game around this town.

If it wasn't for this Lab Northern New Mexico's population would still be living in Mud Huts.

Still great riding environment none the less!!

Any new S10 owner and noobie on the forum (the OP) who posts the following gem to the board (in their tenth post) makes me a wee bit wary;

While we are at it, let me caution you, every day, you're sounding more and more like a know it all. It gets old. The funny part is, the more you say, the more clear it becomes that you don't have a clue WTF you're talking about quite often.
I tend to treat any further posts they make with a degree of suspicion. Caveat emptor.

I got reply from Yamaha, no fire reported or otherwise in Hawaii, no new 2016 delivered to replace the 2013. Sorry, but story is all bull from A to Z. Here is reply:
We get no fire complain to replace motorcycle reports to date from any place. We don't take fire as not seriously considering and if fire consumer consume any Yamaha, we considered this serious matter and at that point consider consequences.
I think you've managed to create your own narrative that has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

So at this point we don't have a recall and now have a new "let's go after the original person posting" based on a claim to an email yada yada yada.

Before this gets bitter, this thread is locked. If or when some action comes out of Yamaha or NHTSA, you can pm AvGeek or I and we can re-open this, or a new thread can be started.
