Just returned back from the fitting. I've got to tell you that this bracket eliminates all the turbulence at speed. I can ride with my visor up and it stays up on all my helmets. The bracket alone produces a nice calm quiet pocket, and with his windshield it was a little better. I kept my shield on since I like the style of it. Mark said that the bracket would be ready soon, but for now, I am using the orange flavored bracket. I am testing it hard next week and will report any news that I find.

Good stuff man! Paint it yellow ::022:: My SW Motech GPS mount bracket for the stock screen bracket just shipped yesterday...I suppose it wont work with the Madstad, so I'll probably stay with status quo as the stock screen is a already a big improvement over my last bike....which had no screen ::025::

I tried it with a new windshield and with a stock shield, and the bracket to me is what made it all happen. Even with it's smallish size, the angle and slight height increase eliminated the turbulence.

I had the madstad on my Tiger 1050 and also the wife had one on her F650GS twin, very nice product and solved the turbulence problem on the Tiger which was huge.

Awesome ready for preorder: great price! It made replacing the windshield obsolete.

Decent enough price, considering the competition (which I'm sure played a part in the price).

Madstad makes a good product. If I did not al ready have my Wasp adjustable bracket, I'd be ordering onie of these.

Are there pictures anywhere labeled of it in the all the way up, and all the way down position with the stock screen? I see the slide show, but I'm finding it difficult to see those positions with no frame of reference to where it's adjusted.

Does it get better than this?: I will go measure any position you want. Tell me your frame of reference, and what you want.

I run mine all the way up, about mid position on the tilt. I am 5'10". I am running a stock windshield. I have very little air getting to me on my Russell seat, which is 1.5 inches higher than stock.

That's great. ::012:: I'd love to see a picture of it as close to the stock low position as it gets, and as high as it gets vertically from there. If you just want to measure, I guess you could measure form the tip of the point in the middle to some fixed point on the front of the bike? Whatever is easy for you. ::003::

Ok since measurements will be more accurate here you go:

measuring from the black plastic "V" tip under the windshield:

in the top position with the bracket as high as it will go is 19.12" from the black tip to the top of the windshield:

in the lowest position with the bracket in the bottom holes as low as it will go 14.75" to the top of the windshield from the black tip.

total windshield movement: 4 3/8 inches

Thanks, I will try to get my measurements from the factory positions tomorrow. ::001::

the secret is not so much the height as the angle... that happy spot, tipping the shield slightly more upright makes the whole thing work.

That makes sense, I spaced my FJR screen about a quarter inch more upright and it helped that range of adjustment, too.
