My wife's side of the family imported propane/butane when it was first discovered (her uncles father) to the West. I used to use those Colman gas stoves until meeting Carol. We then got propane portable stoves and I kick myself for not using them all those years.

When I motorcycle camp I use my Jet Boil. It amazes me even at high elevations it boils water in less than 3 minutes.

Last Sunday it was in the twenties , today 75 . So played hooky from church and rode dirt bikes at Carrots place .

when I'm at Carrots place we have a great time , carrot has better dirt bike skills than myself so he is fun to watch . what is missing is better photos as we really don't have a way to carry phones safely (so we don't break them ) or securely (so we don't loose them ) so most of the pictures ends up by my truck (where we keep our phones ) . I had ordered a Klim arsenal vest and because of weather did not get it in time before yesterdays ride . it was at my house when I got home late Sunday afternoon and its a winner. hopefully I will now have a phone when we ride and will be able to have a few more interesting pictures than what I have been posting of late.
the vest fit my big ass self very nicely , 3 liter water bladder , numerous pockets for what ever , a tool pack on back , and a velcro wrap style gun holster ....
what ends the ride is we need water and at times a snack so we have to ride back to his house , using my truck as a base has helped in that area as we keep water and snacks there . but the vest means we don't have to go back to truck . so maybe it will be a good investment . can also just wear the vest as a light backpack for a day hike ,water and snacks available.
Saturday Carrot is going to scratch something off his bucket list , he is going to enter the TORCS race . im his very ugly umbrella girl.

A very foggy start to the day , I get to carrots at 7 am we load up his bike on my truck and off we go . Taco stop in Luling Texas and then we head to floresville Texas to the track . Get there a little after 9 . The young man is carrots nephew lane , carrot almost always a hard target for a camera.

Pretty crowded, found a spot to call base . Got carrots registered for his race. Then we cooked hotdogs. Visited some of our neighbors.
