Yes I believe you might be correct the right-left headlight adjustment uses Phillips head screws but what I'm wanting to try to adjust is the up-down part , those adjusters are near the bottom rear of the headlight assembly, below the covers for removing headlight bulbs, look like a nut with gears attached, does anyone know what size-type wrench works there ? Just knowing the actual size would help.Davesax36 said:Phillips (jis) #2
8mm does it. I don't know why it's not a phillips screw but I used a mirror to check it. An 8mm nutdriver fits in there fine.Cycledude said:Yes I believe you might be correct the right-left headlight adjustment uses Phillips head screws but what I'm wanting to try to adjust is the up-down part , those adjusters are near the bottom rear of the headlight assembly, below the covers for removing headlight bulbs, look like a nut with gears attached, does anyone know what size-type wrench works there ? My bad. This is, of course, correct.VRODE said:8mm does it. I don't know why it's not a phillips screw but I used a mirror to check it. An 8mm nutdriver fits in there fine.
Raising the low beam also raises the high beam though. I left mine where they were, still big improvement on low beam with increased spread and high beams are the tits and not blinding so you can run them constantly. I rode tonight for 2-1/2 hrs with high beams and didn't get flashed by a single driver. Heavy traffic also, 2 lane highway and I-10 interstate. My Rigid lightbar will now be my high beams. Just need to get a blackout sticker for that bright blue high beam indicator light, I don't want to see that constantly.Cycledude said:Thanks a lot for the 8mm tip ! I used a 1/4 inch craftsman ratchet with a short extension and a 8mm socket, did it from the bottom front, turned them both 1/2 turn left and took it for a ride, seems better than it was, now I don't constantly have the feeling it should be raised more so I'm going to leave it like that at least for now.

I just recently purchased their kit, and after seeing your post I went and pulled my receipt and found out I did receive the 8,000 lumen. I have them installed, but have not had a chance to get out in the dark and test them.Cycledude said:Looks like Cyclops might have a new LED headlight kit for the Tenere that puts out 8,000 lumen , not sure but i think the kit i bought in August for $160 was 7,000 lumen, i am very satisfied with the kit i bought but just pointing out that the new kits are probably even better.

I use these.BadNews said:Now my little marker bulbs look lame! Anyone got a replacement for them?
According to their web site, the bulb temp is 5600k, and each bulb is rated at 4000 lumens, so apparently they really do mean 8000 lumens, which I agree, is pretty extraordinary. For $175.95, almost makes me want to order a set. I like that it comes with new caps to cover the rear of the larger base/heat sinks too.OX-34 said:8000Lm? That's extraordinary.
You don't mean 8000K (kelvin)?
