Here's my diagram and actual switch. Works great.
If I did it again, I would make the main wire 5 inches long instead of 3 1/2.
Also, had to splice in the wires leading to the clutch plug. Trying to twist them together into the socket plug didn't work. Too much wire to fit inside the plug.
I'm hopeless with this wiring, can someone make me a plug and play switch like this diagram and then sell it to me please?
I live in Australia, so postage will be a bit more, but I could paypal you. Thanks.

Switch does not have to be a wiring challenge. If you or anyone you know has any soldering skills at all it's a 5 minute job with no other skills needed.

This switch does not use a relay, and if you try to start the bike without pulling in the clutch it will jump if you left it in gear. I'm pretty sure I've never stared any electric start bike in my life without pulling in the clutch, so there has never been an issue with this simple to install switch.

I know this has been road like a ::002::
I tried this tonight with the fuse it is a motorcycle that pulls like a smooth tractor.
First thing I noticed was it idles rich you can smell it, it has a serious smooth takeoff that flows through all three then I noticed it starts a little submissiveness like the feel of your rear wheel spinning just ease on the throttle and your at a nice cruse.
This is a learning curve you can't ride it like you stole it if you want to conserve on the fuel, pulling up hills you can watch the MPG drop!

I can see a switch to bounce back and forth up hills my MPG didn't drop as much before the jumper.
She ain't no Triumph 1050 Triple but it's the next best thing for me.. ;)
This is a touring beast with this mod need cruse control; I have not taken it off road but I can tell flat dirt will work with this I don't know about slow tight maneuvering, the throttle is a bit touchy now.
Sort of feels like a huge jumpy 500 two stroker..

Throttle map is unrestricted in all gears/modes.
Fueling is identical.
Timing advance is reduced in the midrange.
WOT timing is EXTREMELY advanced.

I like the added HP, but not the fuel consumption.
That I am going to watch, I have been trying to pull 265 miles out of a tank I think I could push 270.
Most of the time I fill up at 250 and have around close to 1.5 gallons left in the tank..

With good comes some evils, smooth takeoff and quickness in busy traffic is a good thing, burning gas up on the highway is not.
This is not for the heavy handed I see an on off switch needed to control when you need it, but Damn it sure feels good!! ::014::

Yup, I added a switch and just turned it off on the highway. If you liked the CJM you will love the reflash....

What is the X axis on your graph? Speed?

With the electronic throttle there is more at play than just speed. When the rider goes WOT, the throttle bodies may not go WOT.

The fuel is TPS vs RPM or MAP vs RPM. There is only 1 set of fuel maps for each cylinder and each variable.

What type of dyno? What sensor was used?

You were "richer" at the bottom most likely because the throttle was open more due to the less restricted throttle map...not necessarily because the fueling itself was directly changed.

So will the sports mode and touring mode still work or will you just have sports mode all the time
If you jump the clutch, you will only have 1 functioning "mode".

The switch will still make the dash change...but that's about it.

250 miles!!! And you think you can go 265 or 270!!! ???

I certainly don't get fuel mileage like that, and I've never seen anyone around here who does. Not questioning your veracity in any way, just trying to figure out how you're getting those numbers. Either you ride at very low speeds all the time, or...

I think there may be another variable in play here...

You've got the Woody's wheels on your bike, right? With the 21" front and the 18" rear, correct?

What RPM is your bike turning at a speedo indicated 50, 60, 70, and 80 MPH in 6th gear?

Since the Super Tenere takes its speedometer and odometer info from the wheel speed sensors it uses for TCS and ABS, and your wheel sizes/diameters are different than stock it could be your odometer/speedometer is reading substantially different from the rest of us.

Just curious...

KPH vs MPH..? maybe?

I am getting a respectful 50-53 with the onboard computer calc'ing...without the fuse in place

If I'm heavy on the loud wrist it goes to 42-44 ...with the fuse in place

GPS is telling me it's just a blond one spot on.

From what I remembered when I went from an 18 tooth front sprocket to a 19 on my Tiger 1050 the speed was close to dead on but Odometer readings increased leading one to believe your getting great gas MPG by about 5%.
All your got was changing the oil more often and piling on miles, so I wonder if this is the facts going on with the Woody's?

By the way I feel a slight difference with switching between modes S & T its a bit smoother feeling.

That the beauty of installing an ON and OFF Switch is you then get all 3 modes. T,S and SS. Installing only a fuse, you lose Touring and Sport. As for gas mileage I do not notice any difference between any of the modes. Usually get over 400kms/250 miles to a tank full riding aggressive. Of course we don't use much ethanol here in Canukstan yet.

250 miles to the tank riding "aggressive"? That is CRAZY.

When I ride "aggressive" I can get the fuel light on with ~160 miles on the tank. I KNOW I can only go 55 miles when riding carefully after the fuel light first illuminates. 250 vs 210 is a SIGNIFICANT difference. I can't blame that on 10% ethanol alone.

Aggressive riding gets me squat I am also using pure dinosaur Juice not ethanol Vodka and an easy hand running 70 to 80 MPH!!
Lets see what I get on my trip to Moab this weekend, 90% Ethanol gas pups till Cortez, CO.
The Sinclair station has non Methanol that's 277 miles from Santa Fe not gonna happen with a load.

Maybe it's the roads we have down here in South Texas... Maybe it's that I'm, shall we say, a bit *heavier* than I was in my younger years... Or perhaps it's my background riding bikes...

Or perhaps a combination of all three.

But my bike is bone-stock - i.e. stock muffler, stock header pipes, stock air filter, etc. - except for the ECUnleashed Gen 2 re-flash, and I'm friggin' *LUCKY* if I can get 200 miles out of tank - including the "reserve" after the gauge starts flashing!!! Most of the time I don't get that good..

On a great day my fuel gauge will start flashing - much like AVC's - at around 150 to 160 miles, and I can get 40 to 50 miles *MAX* out of the "reserve" after it flashes (ask me how I know, and how many times I've found out! ::025:: ), and when I re-fuel on those occasions I put in 5.8 to 5.9 gallons. Most riding days I can't go more than 130 to 140 miles before my gauge starts flashing and the count-up odo starts its thing. There are folks here that talk about getting 50+ MPG all the time, and a ton who say they get 40-45 MPG all the time...

I'm *LUCKY* if I get 40 MPG on the slab, and that's if I'm being gentle (for me) with the throttle and not cracking 65-70 MPH... Most of the time I get in the mid- to low-30's, and if the road gets twisty and some of us start apex dancing I see the 28 to 30 MPG. If you're going normal Texas cruising speed (85 MPH) on the interstate or on most major highways (posted limit 75 MPH) I'm getting 35 to 36 MPG.

I have a Parabellum 22" "medium" windscreen on my S-10, and my Yamaha side cases are on the bike literally 98% of the time.

Still, I swear I cannot fathom how you guys get these big MPG numbers and incredible ranges on your fuel tank capacity. Leaves me stunned... ???
