If your ownership experience mimics mine, keep a spare or two handy on the bike; I've had nine headlight bulbs burn out in nine years.

You know if you don’t replace them they can't burn out again!

Someone's on here said to use Oxilam LEDS instead stock bulbs. I looked on Ebay and sure enough $18 for a set. Put them in and they are waaaay brighter than stock. So far they have gone from Northern Illinois to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and down the west coast from Vancouver then inland from Crescent City CA to Redding, CA and they haven't failed yet. Well worth the 18 dollars.

Which particular LED bulb are you using? Are there any issues with clearance inside the headlight cap?

Convincing my girlfriend to run ahead of the bike with a flashlight while I'm riding has proven to be more difficult than you'd think, so I'm stuck with headlights.

I bought some headlight revolution 2.0 LEDS and they didn't fit. They had some others which had no ballasts. For almost $200. Someone on this forum mentioned Oxilam and I found them this spring on ebay for $18.
