Hey now!

I'm a Canadian living in the US. If I had ordered in Toronto I'd probably have the bike within a week, instead I'm sitting on my hands in Michigan! :'(

Let's move those Tenere's across the ocean!

I'm going riding in the wee hours tomorrow morning, beat the heat and take the waiting edge off...I hope.

The wait is killing me too. I'm at the point where I've spent the past two weeks getting quotes on other bikes.

I came pretty damn close to buying a Tiger 800 XC or a BMW 800GS just this past Tuesday. Neither of those bikes really do it for me but at least I could salvage what is left of this riding season.

I'l give it a couple more weeks and see how I feel about it.

It has been a long haul wait for sure. Luckily I have been so busy at work lately I doubt I would have time to get it if it came in tomorrow. I look at the calendar every morning and know it's getting closer. I look forward to the call. I have not bought a thing for it yet. I pretty much know what I want which is bare bones items to get me going and should not take more than an extra week to get it here an on. I have a 10 day vacation coming 1st week of Sept. and I hope it's here by then if not I'll continue riding my DR650. ;D

I have the first two weeks of September off, which is my one and only opportunity to get a road trip in this year.

Just keep clicking your heels together and repeating... "There's no month like August. There's no month like August..." ;)

I have the last two weeks of August off for a trip to Canada on the Hog. Undoubtedly my bike will come while I'm gone. Don't get any ideas, you guys that didn't PDP. When I get back that baby is mine!

I'm sorry but Yamaha USA has to know what's going on by now. The least they could do at this late date is confirm that the PDP bikes are in the pipeline. The rest of the world is getting S10's. The US spec bikes can't be all that different except maybe for an ECM and wire harness? A little comunication would be greatly appreciated. OK back down from my soap box. Time for one more cold one.

I agree for the most part. I have no basis for this but I just have this sneaking suspicion that we are gonna hear something right after MotoGP this weekend at Laguna Seca. Just a hunch but Yamaha throws themselves HEAVILY at that event. Once that has passed I imagine we will have some news in short order.

And now back to my hooka pipe.....(PLEASE, prove me right Yamaha!!!!)

Am I the only one checking the forum each day just dying to see one of us American buyers has been notified they're here, or at least close? I'm one month away from a major trip and I still have fantasies it will come in time for me to get it setup and take it with me. Does that make me a bad person?

I'm happy for our Canadian friends, but damn-it! I want my bike.
