Good to be here. Just bought a 2012 S10 with 11k today. Will have lots of questions. Pleased there is so much info here and on YouTube. Would like to meet up with a local rider or two. I am coming off of a 99 Royal Star. This is quite different fit and sound! I am 6’3 with 34+ inseam, 230lbs, and 56 years young. Hoping I can modify this to fit me a bit better. I believe I am the 3rd owner, all somewhat local to me. The bike has quite a bit of sticker bling. Perhaps someone will recognize it from the pic from a previous forum member. The sound running is odd to me. Smooth but odd…for me. Hoping it is normal. Looking for a bike for commute and to carry me into retirement.image.jpg

Welcome from metro Seattle and congrats on the new (to you) '12. Looks like you found a clean, well set up machine!

Welcome, from Joshua. 10yr old bike with only 11k miles . . . . two owners . . . . they spent more time blinging than riding. That bike should do you well. Yes, she does have a unique sound; 270° crankshaft. She's been described as sounding "agricultural". Enjoy.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on the beautiful bike! And yes it runs unique but is built rock solid.

From the Netherlands,

Welcome from MS. I'm the same size as you. I highly recommend the 2" rox pivot risers.

Congratulations.!.......... 11K miles,..... WOW,...... Brand NEW ! Ive worked on a few of these Tenere machines (being facetious). Im also located in your back yard. If you have any questions just let me or the forum know... Everyone will be happy to help.

With a little proper maintenance, this motorcycle should go 250K miles or until you're tired of it !
