A Ride Report would be awesome! I look forward to it. Thanks for being a customer and saying nice things about us.

Oh, and BTW, I was born in Warwick, not too far from you. Long story of how a kid born in Warwick, R.I., ends up in the Badlands of N. Dakota, but I'll spare everyone the numerous, gory details for now... ;D

Small world: I was stationed at the Naval War College in Newport RI circa 1969-70. Then lived in Waltham MA 70-76. Nice riding country out that way for sure.

As you guys know Rhode Island is Tiny... I don't live far from Warwick or Newport. There are some great windy roads in Easter CT that I spend most weekends exploring. I don't get up into Mass as much as I should. Will add it to the list this season.

The take home message is this, there are lots of fantastic riding opportunities no matter where you live. And even though crossing the Plains in heavy crosswinds is not my idea of fun, I have seen some beautiful country from Texas to Canada. Being from a fairly large city, I wonder what life must be like in the rural areas of North America. I feel like we have lost a lot in the push to megasize all aspects of our existence. I guess it is the price that we pay for progress.

Well said, Buckeye. I've lived in all of 'em, from tiny to mega. As someone once said, 'everything's a tradeoff.' I've gotta say, though, I'm glad my kid is growing up here and not in the big city. No doubt, he's missing a lot of the more 'sophisticated' cultural opportunities in the city, but then again he can walk out the front door and hunt and fish or ride his dirtbike or whatever. A lot of people still don't lock the doors to their house up here -- I like that and I hope that doesn't change anytime soon. I do still travel to the big city from time to time when I need a fix of the Big Stuff ;)

Welcome Scoobynut, love your part ofthe country. My late wifes' family, the Kautz's are from New Leipzig. They have had a family farm there for like a 100 years plus. Cute little town. Cold in the winter but a pretty place

Thank for the welcome, damian and toompine. Excuse my ignorance -- or lack of searching -- but has anyone set up a Super Tenere Rally yet? Sure would be cool for all of us early adopters to get together and celebrate our, uh, early adoptions! :D

I've actually been toying with the idea of inviting the whole Super Tenere universe to at minimum make our facility a stop on the S10 Rally tour. I am sure we could provide you with free chow, tools, and free installs of gear you buy from us. I will be putting together a thread on just this subject soon. If anyone is interested in speaking with me about this feel free to call 401-284-4200 and ask for me, or email me at twistedrider at twistedthrottle d0tc0m to get a hold of me. I was thinking the early Fall might be best since deliveries might be an issue....

Are you kidding... wasn't Chiyty Chitty Bang Bang designed in England? You could convert yours to both fly and float. Come on now Swagger! The power of positive thought can make anything possible.

Sounds like we have 2 guys interested. I will post a thread about the idea and see where it goes. I think it would make more sense for someone from the board to "run" the event.
