Yea this drives me crazy also! No idea why they can't make it read correctly.kraigd said:As I read all this info a few things come to mind. I have had the bike stall one or two times but no big deal. Starting has been an issue one or two times as well but again so far and few I did not worry about it. The one thing that does bother me is the spedo reads 80mph and my GPS is showing 74 mph. For a dig spedo I would think this would be more accurate. All and all this is one great bike. PS I wish it had a temp gauge.
There's probably an adjustment for that via either hardware or firmware, but it's most like not available to the average Joe. Something akin to the wheel size adjustment on the TT Vapor and alike would be cool. I hate to add to the clutter by going with and aftermarket speedo.coastie said:Yea this drives me crazy also! you're in luck, it actually has 2 temp gauges, one for engine temp and one to show the air temp at the air box.
What temp gauge are you wanting ?
Maybe I should do that. My average says 34 mpg.kraigd said:A gauge for eng that you can see, I leave the avg MPG up at all times to slow my ass down. If i get 40 I know I am doing better at slowing down. Without the side bags I get 44 mpg. A friend I ride with gets 45 to 46 mpg all the time. When I get to the dragon, MPGs drop like a rock, 34 to 36mpg wahoo.

I can bend it, just not break it. ;Dsnakebitten said:11,000+ miles.
Stone reliable.
But rear tires are gonna be a bother. 8)
Only a few of you guys are 12,000 or more. Anyone need brakepads yet?
Oh, and if Pluric can't break it, it's one tough machine that the rest of us can just ride and not worry. ;D
Wheelies?pluric said:I can bend it, just not break it. ;D
I'm going to guess washboards more than wheelies.tomatocity said:Wheelies?
Loved your report. Sounds and looks like ya'll had a fun time.
I got bitched at on a previous brake pad thread, but lets just say it's a matter of riding style that dictates how long your brake pads will last. We do have linked brakes, so front application will also apply some rear brake. That may show up later as rear pads wearing differently than 'normal' for a given rider. I turned over 17k yesterday and the pads are still looking great, even front and rear, side to side. Good tip. I noticed mine was getting hard to find neutral and stiff down shifting.Tiger_one said:11,500+, brake pads look fine, I just took a peek when changing my front tire for Anakee 2.
My only problems was cooked right headlight connector, and could not down shift below 4th gear when going slow. Grease on the shifter fixed that, it was pretty corroded. I guess you could say the front spring caused me to break my front fender (too firm on compression), so changed out the spring. Happy camper.
