And old topic but certainly not expired.

2daMax.

I couldn't figure out a username when i started hitting the forums for bikes in 2010, and without any rhyme or reason, it came to my mind, To the max.

"Lousy Pup"- A miscreant, rogue, scoundrel... Used by my step Great-Grandfather when appropriate. The only person I ever heard use the term so it's "his". This is a tribute to the man I loved as much as anyone ever could.

ScoutDogMan = Scout Dog Handler in Viet Nam. We trained German Shepard's to alert on trip wires, booby traps, ambushes, pungy pits, etc. We walked point and
cleared a path for the grunts...

Couple of reasons. V for Vermont, Rode is kinda obvious. Also, I really had the intention of getting a Vstrom instead of the Tenere so I applied the V. But I'm famous for flip-flopping before a purchase and a ST demo did the trick. I suppose I could have been Trode if not for that.

Wouldn't have guessed. Thank you for doing that super dangerous position, as it let a lot of others come home.

I too have had several names rejected. Then one day at the range behind the scope, my team leader called me by that user name. :lamp: Mine is Sierra 1; my spotter is Sierra 2. Seemed as good as any; and it didn't get rejected.

My name is Dave. I'm a sax player (band director). The main horn I play on is Selmer reference 36 tenor.

I was sorta close....I was seeing it as Daves ax, guitar, had no idea about the 36 though. Had the wrong musical instrument. Blues or Jazz?

I'm a member of a group called Team Pterodactyl. It is made up mostly of Alaskans and displaced Alaskans. We are the people who put on Dust 2 Dawson in Dawson City, Yukon Territory. Team Pterodactyl is much like the Hell's Angels, only on Geritol.

My last name being Smith, it's not uncommon for the nickname "Smitty" to be applied. It's also not uncommon for smart asses to make up rhyming words to go along with it that aren't meant to necessarily be complimentary. So I simply combined the two and it's been accepted on everything except eBay.

Back in the 90's when I first started riding Buells, I rode considerably faster, and more on the wilder side.
Buells are such great handling bikes, I spent lots of time dragging my knee, or lofting the front wheel.
Many called me a Hooligan, on a Buell, or a Buelligan!
