Must admit I've had my fill of the Tail. Too many tourist, too many people over the line, too many cops, and yes I once found a tractor trailer on it. I'm done. Now I only do it if I'm leading a group ride and there are people who have never done it before and feel the need to do it. I'll take The Snake over the Dragon any day.

Arkansas 341 offers all of the thrills of the dragon without the traffic and offers a much better view. Not as many curves in 11 miles but a better overall riding experinece over a longer distance. Think Cherhola Sky Way skillfully blended with the dragon. Years past I attacked it on a very modified Miata. Called it 3rd gear road as you never got above 3rd gear until the awsome down hill stretch to the river before the intersection of HWY 5.
