Traded in the FJR yesterday on a bare 2013 Super Tenere, no accessories yet, will ride for a while and decide what it needs.

First impression, doesn't need much.

Always been a dirt bike guy so this one suits me well. Just bigger.

Appreciate all the info on this site. It was influential in the purchase decision.

Will post pics after I walk the dog.

Best regards,

Gonzodog

Greetings from Texas! You're right - this bike does most things exceptionally well.

If going offroad, suggest a strong skid plate (recommend RideonADV) and crash bars (I like Altrider). Both have saved my bacon many times.

Hi there, Gonzodog!
Congrats on your S10. I just rode through your neck of the woods yesterday (Kinzua dam, Longhouse, and hten through Loleta onto Clear Creek SF). Good riding!

Cheers,
Eric

Welcome from metro Seattle and congrats on the purchase!

Great bike...but beware, it's going to cost you the same farkle $$$ as the FJR!! ;)

Enjoy the new ride.

Yup, adding farkles is part of the gig.

But really guys, if you were concerned about money, would you have bought one of these beasts?

To me it is like knowing how to handle the throttle, too much is usually just about right. ::025::

BTW, the mechanics of using this site are great. Great job putting it together!

Greetings and welcome aboard!! There'll be tons of suggestions about the thinks the bike 'needs' but other than fuel, it truly 'needs' nothing. It'll deliver a lot of fun right out of the box. Everything else is risk-mitigation and fun-enhancement.

Thanks for the warm welcome, y'all are a friendly bunch!

Only got 500 miles on it so far. Around here it's about time to put away the leaf blower and bikes and tune the skis.

Regards,

GD
