That's the perfect bike for you, Pete. I recommend putting your Tenere up for sale immediately, so you can be sure to snap that KTM up when it becomes available. The added benefit , which may be the best benny of all, is that you won't have to hang around all of us delusional Tenere fan boys anymore. All of the fallacies about cost of ownership, quirks and sticker price are way overblown anyway....SCRATCH THAT! KTMs have NO faults. This bike is superior to the Super Tenere in every way, shape and form.
I urge you to sell now and get yourself on a waiting list ASAP. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. 8)
Love the edit, Midlife.
For sale: Yamaha Tenere' Low Miles due to poor research and decision making by owner. **WARNING: Speed bumps must be crossed with a diagonal approach because of the slammed cruiser-like ground clearance. Rider must carry absorbent pads in case all oil is lost in a supermarket parking lot. Seller cannot guarantee safe off road riding due to the chopper-like sweep of the handle bars** Best offer to the new owner who will be with 99 percent of satisfied ST owners. Going back to a KLR, whichReal motorcycle forces sale. Real motorcycle could be for sale soon after that. WANTED: Motorcycle research specialist for temporary work in helping me properly reseach my next ride as well as someone who can help me confront my fear of riding large bore motorcyles off road
