Hi Guys!

I am very glad I found this forum with a lot of you happy S10 owners :) I am sure you will be tired of me, because I am going to ask a lot of questions pretty soon.

The idea of buying a bike came to my mind a few months ago.. it should be a bike for two with very good parameters for long range tourism + with possibility to go into some off road. I was reading, searching and considering a few bikes. First, smaller ones like small tenere or transalp. This kind of bikes is very popular in Poland. Then find S10 in one of our dealers and was offered a test ride (with my wife as a passenger too). I fallen in love with this bike, with it's engine sound, comfort, agility... Later on, I went to test ride Tiger Explorer XC and R1200GSA - both bikes seems heavier and harder to control in off road conditions and when leaning the bike left or right.

This way decision is done and approved by my wife - we will be buying the S10 in the early 2014. Perhaps the new model, however our dealers say they know nothing about the new model incoming, but prices of 2013 S10s was quite noticeable reduced already :)

Perhaps we will never meet in person, but I hope to learn from you a lot in here.

Czesc z Kanady.
Jestem orginalnie z Tarnowa. Jestem tutaj od '86 roku.

I'm not sure what the new 2014 will be like, but the original is a blast. 36km and zero complaints, and lots of smiles.
I'm currently trying to persuade myself not to buy the new fz9. must be strong.

Great site, with lots of support.

Hello and welcome, lewalt. My wife also enjoys riding as a passenger on my Super Tenere. It is a very comfortable bike for long-distance riding. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Hi lewalt,

A belated welcome. Never been to a Poland but often head to Germany, as far as Leipzig a couple of years ago. Maybe we will meet one day.

Regards,

Matt

Thanks for a warm greetings guys :)

I didn't expect that many of you from Poland leaving "there" and riding S10 :)

Winter in Poland don't want to come yet (it's like 17oC during a day here, so still a lot of bikers on the roads and I have to wait till Spring to buy and ride one :-\
I just hope winter will not last too long (last year it was snowing even in March or April if I remember correctly...) and I will be able to own a gray S10 as soon as possible :)
