Ahh, thanks for the merge.

No freezing temps, some light off road on Salisbury plain but that's all.

They were bought online in the uk. I've contacted them, they just put in touch with The manufacturers which is where the Germany thing has come from! Very frustrating! However, do I just buy a new tyre, send it away and see what they say?! Looks like I'm gonna need a new one anyway! Very annoying though.

I will try and find a date on the tyre.

Re: Splits on tyre

I had a similar issue. contacted Revzilla where I bought them. Revzilla said they contacted ( Hiding Now !!!) ::015::, their answer was that the tire are underinflated and they do not do anything.
I will never buy them again.
good luck

Running 40psi, no additional load apart from me!

What do you have now if you're not buying the k60?

The K60s were the darlings for the Tenere early on. They do OK on road and off, and get great tread life. However, since the Mitas E07 came on the scene, the E07 have been adopted by many of the K60 users. For those doing a bit more off-road, a lot of folks will put a TKC80 on the front with a E07 on the rear, but all sorts of other combos are out there too.

The search box is your friend.

Thanks. I've just placed an order for an E07, quite looking forward to seeing the comparison now.

The Dakar model is the preferred.

There's a thicker side wall on the Dakar version which should help puncture resistance, you tell them apart by the yellow band on the tread of the Dakar. If you are going to fit them yourself some complain of the Dakar being much harder to fit without a machine.

Ah I see. Ok, I've cancelled my original order but looks like they don't have the Dakar in tubeless, but I'll find it somewhere.
