Bundu or Rmac,

Would it be possible for one of you to post a pic of the grips you mounted? I have oxfords on my wr but dont like the wires running everywhere. How clean does the oem kit look?

Thanks

D

Old topic but here goes...

How are the OEM heated grips fused? Is the power coming from the headlight relay?

Thanks,
Andy

with the 20A O/P Option fuse, which is bottom right in fuse tray

EDIT: sorry, it's the 10A fuse No. 8

Not according to the USA factory service manual...power for the heated grips comes from the 'signaling system fuse', #8 in the pic above.

The 'O/P Option fuse' powers the accessory fog light connector.

just had a look at the wiring diagram, and yes, you are correct - grips come from 10A signalling fuse

I thought that was odd myself or possibly a misprint, so I checked it against the Euro and USA spec wiring diagrams (they are slightly different, btw) and they both agree. Heated grips get power from the 'signaling fuse' (horns, brake light).
