As I mentioned above, I like your list, although I don't want/need many that were listed.

I'd have to go back through the thread as I don't remember if anyone suggested a rack to replace the rear seat. This might be handy to haul extra gear when riding solo.

Excellent idea. My setup does not include a rear seat and the gear will be inline with the motorcycle.

Touratech makes one, that's all I have on mine. Wasn't crazy on the price either if I remember right.

It's being made, it's actually just for the differential housing, not for the rest of it. I don't have the info off the top of my head, Hepco & Becker maybe?

You know there's a thread somewhere that talks about a guy that did this very thing. It was a backrest made for a scooter I believe, easily modified and mounted to your rack. I thought it was cool, figured it would bolt up to my Touratech passenger seat replacement rack if I ever decide I need one.

I see a combination of two of the biggest requests in here that could be really neat, The backrest and the rear seat rack/ rear rack.

Anyone remember the Buell Ulysses rear rack?

It was kinda cool, it could traverse from flat on top of the passenger seat, to 180 degrees back over to be a rear rack, or upright as a back rest. That would be great for the Tenere. Of course, I wouldn't have it replace a rear rack completely, but maybe build it so it could lay over the stock or aftermarket racks available if you didn't want it as a back rest or a seat rack.

It would probably have to bolt on below the base of current rack, so it would work with all the systems.

My request I forgot from the above post would be a nicely integrated helmet lock, preferably using the extra factory lock that comes with the bike.

You can buy this lock at your dealer. It can be keyed to the ignition key by a locksmith.
