Hello all,

I'm Richlandrick.

I have been coaxed (quite easily) by a couple of guys who own or have owned both V-Stroms and Super Tenere's to offer my services to the Tenere community. I have CNC mill and lathe capabilities of my own, and access to CNC laser capabilities. My goal has been to provide alternatives to some of the markets more over priced parts and half the commercial asking price and to fill needs that can't or won't be addressed by the larger companies.

My little comapny is called AdventureTech (www.adventuretech.biz is under construction). Basically, you guys identify what you need and I'll work with you through a thread ont he topic to design the part and then provide it at a better than reasonable price.

Anyone suggesting a part that I wind up making gets theirs free.

I won't copy a part that someone worked hard to make and is already availble at a reasonable price. I will however gladly design an alternative to a part that is over priced.

Heer's a link to the what I make for the V-Strom. http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,12988.0.html
The link will give you an idea of the kinds of parts I can make. Feedback from the V-Strom community has been overwhelmingly positive. ::012::

Please PM me, send an email, or post here.

Thanks
Richlandrick

Richlandrick,

I need to talk to you. :)

I am interested in a quick-disconect, adjustable height and angle passenger backrest for my wife and folding highway pegs for long distance touring. I bought 4 Harley davidson rubber footpegs, but need a bracket design to mount to my givi crashbar.

How's that for a challange?

Hello Rick,

Good to see you on the Super Tenere forum.

I will standup for Richlandrick. My DL1000 had many of his parts on it and they worked well. Dealing with Rick was easier than most dealers. Quality products and priced right.

I have Rich's "Over the dash GPS mount" on my DL650. It is very well made and bolted on with no problems.

I would guess that if generic highway pegs (ie, those that would fit on any bike, regardless of crash bars and/or skid plate) were available, there would be a REAL large demand!!!

I will second some replacement passenger pegs, 1-2" lower that plug right in the existing mount.

How about an auxiliary light bracket, to move the aux lights down and wider to get that triangular look? Something with some different combination's would be nice. It's easy to bolt them on in the current bolt holes, but just does nothing for being conspicuous. PM me and I can send you a design.

Hello and ::004::

I would be interested in something to move the passenger pegs down 1-2 inches. For my needs, I would not want it to move outward significantly and definitely need a vertical drop with no change forward or back.

How about something like this one? http://www.pca-one.com/productDetail.asp?productID=2804&RetURL=search&search=bike&BlockSize=20&SortOrder=Default&bikeType=&bikeMake=Yamaha&bikeModel=FJR1300&bikeYear=

They do not have one for the s10.

It is a very straight forward plate that uses the existing holes in the stock rack to accommodate for givi top cases.

S.
I definently want to talk about a large rear rack plate that would cover the existing rack and half the passenger seat. At least 14" wide and maybe 18" long with lots of slots for tiedowns. I will sketch it up and send you the idea

I'm liking the 'space fillers' that are out there, but the prices put them out of reach. The dead space under the headlight, the open spaces in the framework between you and the rear wheel well...

Hey guys chime in and let me know if this is something you would be interested in. Add your Likes.

How about...
- Extended shifter
- Foot Pegs, Lower and Forward
- Various 12V Outlet Brackets
- Foot Rests for crashbars
- Rear Rack (seems to be the biggest over priced aftermarket part)
- Bar Ends (used with aftermarket handle bars)(could be a trade item)
- Bracket(s) for a Rotopax (I am thinking a one gallon Rotopax can be installed on the rightside between the frame and OEM box)
- Bracket(s) for additional oil
- Headlight Guard
- Chainguard (just joking)
- GPS mounts
- Rear Turnsignal Extenders (rearward to clear luggage)

Don has a good idea with...
- Under Headlight Bracket (I have ideas on this part)
- Frame Fillers (to reduce the spray from water)
