Yeah Jeff, I guess it is pretty much the same. I just wanted to provide you with this .jpg file with the "super" blended in with the Dakr dude. I like it either way and will be looking forward to the final product.

Thanks,
Paul

Jeff, here is another .jpg file that would produce a good hat and shirt. What do you think?
Paul, This is one of the great options there for the Tenere. Any of the logo's I have seen there that may represent a corporate logo, I want to modify in some extent. I will send this jpeg to the lady for screen printing.

Thanks

I have a PROBLEM!!!

After making the sample hat, I take my frist batch of hat and shirt orders to the printing lady!!!! She was thinking the hat and shirt idea were for me only, not a few dozen hats and shirts from around the world!!

She said she is only going to make the shirts with the logo as shown in the picks for everyones shirts with a letter from Yamaha stating I can have the use of their logo.

WHAT DO I DO NOW? Can I get something like this from Yamaha? IS Neihaus and Fredz43 having any issue with this? I am curious!!! Did you have to get Yamaha's permission?

I have a complete list of everyone's money they have paid, I just don't want to jump ship on this yet!!!

I don't want any of this to seem as if i am taking advantage of people who have paid the money already. I have complete records through paypal.

I'm not sure that it's really an official "logo," cuz you see it all over the place on ADVrider. All you can do now is get contact info for Yamaha's U.S. public affairs and get them to provide you with a letter stating that it is not an official Yamaha logo, or, if it is, a letter stating that it can be used for this. It will take some time, but the only other choice is to abandon ship. I would not blame you if you don't want to mess with it.

I was wondering about that when I saw this thread.

Anything w/Yamaha, Super Tenere or XT1200Z are probably all trademarks of Yamaha.

I avoid this when doing stuff on my ST site. There are ways around it, by not using those names but they could even have an issue with the Domain name as well.

I don't think they will argue much about the site as that helps promote sales and participation in their product but a 3rd party could be sued for producing the product... Basically, if I tell you to go print $20 bills, they are going after the printer 1st and foremost.

Most companies will only approve officially licensed products with their name(s) and there's probably a cost for that.

I never personally tried to contact Honda so I don't know how this is dealt with, I just try to work around the obvious stuff.

Time to outsource the print job to China, better known as the land of "we don't give a damn about intellectual property." You may need to buy in lots of 10,000 though.

Wow, it looks like China is the way to go, i only need 9982 more orders to complete this transaction. Didn't you all say you wanted 13 dozen of each color?

I will keep you all posted on what I decide very soon!!!

If you change the XT1200Z to 1200 and the Super Tenere to SuperT, you probably won't have an issue. IMO
